I only had to worry about my pup.
My 7 month old Goldendoodle, Quincee, wouldn't eat breakfast one morning, only grass, and I knew something was wrong. My regular vet had no openings so I took her to the emergency vet. X-rays showed what appeared to be rocks in her intestine, which she passed, but an ultrasound the following day revealed an obstruction she could not pass. Emergency surgery was performed and a piece of rubber toy she had dug up in the yard along with all that grass she ate to try and throw up were removed. Through this 4 day or so process I only worried about Quincee and not how much it was costing. As soon as I could I had insured her with Healthy Paws and I am so thankful I did. After my $250 annual deductible, they paid 90% of Quincee's $5,400 bill. Healthy Paws let me know when the vet filed the claim for me (my choice), kept me up to date on the progress, checked up on Quincee's recovery, and sent my reimbursement checks within, I believe, seven days. Quincee's older brother has also been insured with Healthy Paws since he was a baby. I now know what a wise decision it was and I really do recommend them to all the fur parents I know.

The claims process is very easy to do and takes like 5 minutes to file a claim. You process in a very timely manner and money was deposited right in my account. I appreciate pets best, you have save us a lot of money because my puppy has seizures and medication alone is expensive. Thanks for all you do.

Worth every penny
My husband really wasnt sure about having insurance, and we haven't had to use it as much as I was worried we would need to, but I have zero regrets, the process is quick and easy the monthly payments are low and the deductible is reasonable. I recommend my insurance to everyone. I am thrilled I choose nationwide for ALL of my insurance needs.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is Outstanding
I have had other pet insurance plans and they did not compare to Nationwide. Every claim was contested and they refused to pay or fought for every dime. With Nationwide, once the annual deductable is met they cover 90% period. No hassle. Well worth the money and the knowledge that Obie is protected.

Beyond Expectations!

Mostly SO HAPPY with this pet insurance!
So happy with this company! They make it easy to file claims and get paid. Premiums don't go way up due to large claims (my dog has had 2 knee operations). My one and only complaint is the "pre-existing conditions" clause. My dog had an allergic dermatitus on his stomach that was very localized and specific, but now ANYTHING that has to do with lumps, bumps, infections, cuts, etc does not get paid, which is frustrating when it has nothing to do with that particular issue.

The confidence I have in Nationwide Pet Insurance is a great comfort.
The only startling event was the major increase in the annual cost starting with our May 8, 2019 renewed policy. However, as said earlier the confidence and comfort with the insurance versus the high veterinary costs made it worth renewing in spite of the increase.
