Great knowing my cat is covered in an emergency
My cat was so sick, urinating blood and in pain with a UTI. It was Labor Day, all the vets were closed and I didn’t know how to help her. She was crying, constantly urinating and bleeding. I called the emergency vet and they told me to come in. They warned me about the cost of emergency service but I had to help my cat, so we went. The doctors needed to do xrays and ultrasounds to figure out what was wrong. I knew if would be expensive but I had peace of mind knowing I had insurance to cover some of it. At the end, we received antibiotics and a huge bill. My cat finished her course of antibiotics and is feeling better. Nationwide took care of us, with only $50 out of pocket. I feel so much better knowing we are covered in case of any emergency.

aT FIRST i LOKED THE INSURANCE , BUT i WASNT TOLD IT GOES UP EVERY YEAR,BY ALOT.
The claim was fine it was check up a yearly visit. However I am disappointed in the nationwide credit card that I took out. It was sold to merrick. Now they took the vet benefit away. it was 6 months no interest. That was a great benefit for paying the insurance and claims

Great Overall
We were relieved to have pet insurance for both our cats as they were aging. Overall the cost, service, and refund process is worth it and easy to navigate. My only qualm would be that when receiving refunds for claims, it would be much easier to have a receipt that breaks down the reimbursement so there is more transparency on what is actually being covered.

It's worth the money
Though it's expensive (I can't lie), it's worth the money because I have peace of mind that I will always have help covering the medical bills. I don't ever stop and think, can we do this financially? My babies are my life and they are worth everything to me. So the insurance comes in handy.

Very user friendly
ASPCA Pet Insurance has been very important in the care of our three dogs at various ages and stages of life. Customer service is excellent and the online submission of claims works seamlessly. It is something you hope not to use, but we have made frequent use and have felt like it has been a very good value. Most recently, our 1 1/2 year old had a major hospitalization (which fortunately resolved itself without surgery) and our claim was handled promptly and reasonably.

Huge rate inflation rip-off
While we were assured when we insured Max 13 year's ago that the rates would only increase with inflation, not the age of our dog, that was a palpable lie. During the 13 year's of his life, total inflation in Canada was about 25%. TRUPANION'S RATE INCREASED ABOUT 475%. Our total premium cost for 13 years of coverage was more than $15,000 but we were hooked. RUN -- there are far better companies out there.

Best Pet Insurance on the Market
My Lab had 2 ACL Tears, after deductible, everything was paid 90%, a cost I could have never endured being a senior on a fixed income. The rates are very reasonable, When you call the 1st question you are asked is how is your pet doing?., then how can we help you. Cannot get better customer service,
