Even Puppies Need Health Insurance

Getting a new puppy is quite an adventure, but I knew one of the things that I must have was health insurance for her. I really didn't think I'd need it for a few years, but then she needed to be seen by a doctor for some stomach issues. I was so pleased with the ease of submitting my claim and getting reimbursed. I would highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. I would also highly recommend getting any dog, even a young one, health insurance!

Healthy Paws comes through

I've had Health Paws Insurance for my two cats for several years now, and only needed it recently. My cat became ill and required quite a bit of extensive and expensive testing to diagnose and Health Paws came through with timely reimbursement on all the expenses. They made a stressful time a little easier by taking away the financial worries. I've been recommending them to everybody I know who has pets!

Glad I had insurance for Cabo - right after his original problem, he got vertigo. He's getting better.

Wish you would pay more on one serious visit. Your amount you pay is too little for cancer, etc. I know you have to have limits, but yours are too low for a serious illness.

Peace of mind worth every penny!

I will try to make this brief.... I own five dogs. Last year, a dog I recently adopted had many expensive health issues and several thousand dollars later, I vowed to myself that my new years resolution was going to be to get all of the younger dogs pet insurance. I thoroughly started researching different pet insurance companies. I chose Trupanian because there is no limit as to what they will pay per illness/injury once you meet the deductible. There is no "cap" and you can't run out of benefits per calendar year. As of January 1st, 2020 I enrolled my 3 younger pets with Trupanian. Everything was great. Six months into the policy, one of my dogs, who is only 4 years old, developed an extremely rare disease. Imagine my surprise when I called my vet and said Phantom is not feeling well, I am bringing him in and two hours later the veterinarian calls me back and said the dog is in critical condition and needs immediate plasma transfusions. He had to be transferred to a Internal Specialist veterinarian, and received several transfusions, (at $600 apiece), a colonoscopy, an ultrasound, an endoscopy, and he also spent three nights in critical care there. The bill was over $8000. I had never had a claim, and the dog was only insured for 6 months before this disease he has showed up. I told the Specialty hospital I had insurance on him, and the doctor said "You're in great hands, you don't have a thing to worry about". Trupanian has been AMAZING with everything. We would not have been able to treat my dog had I not had insurance on him. After meeting my deductible, I am only responsible for paying 10% of every visit associated with his illness. This is huge to me as the dog has to go to the vet WEEKLY for injections, and every four weeks for very expensive bloodwork. He is a very young dog, and will need to be monitored closely for the rest of his life. I don't need to worry at all about being able to pay his bills. I am very thankful I decided to purchase Trupanian for my babies. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Healthy Paws has made it possible for me to keep my kitty alive for 10 years!

I adopted my cat, Enzo, from a shelter in 2009. He is a big, friendly, adventurous tuxedo who loves to be around people, dogs, cats and even the occasional rabbit. Until 2013, he ate a diet of regular dry and wet food and was living the good life. In 2013 he developed bladder problems. He needed 2 emergency surgeries to clear out magnesium crystals from his bladder and to enlarge the opening for urine to flow. The cost of the surgeries, coming within weeks of each other, was much more than I was able to pay. If I didn't have Healthy Paws insurance, my only option was euthanasia. I called Healthy Paws and was assured that his surgeries and drugs were covered, and I received an insurance payment covering 90% of the total cost of the surgeries, aftercare and medications in time to pay the bill. Since 2013, Enzo has had a few more bladder issues, and, thankfully, all of his vet visits and medications have been covered. I recommend Healthy Paws to everyone I know who has pets. The reps are all animal lovers, they understand the stress you feel when your companion is ill, and they work hard to get your claims processed as quickly as possible. The monthly premium is affordable and the website makes it quick and easy to file a claim. It's a great company.
