Great Pet Insurance
Submission of claim is very easy (done through the website). Must be able to scan in documentation, or attach pdf file. Review of claim is quick, with good explanation of benefits. For amount of coverage, I feel the pricing is very reasonable.

You say you're concerned about Champ's health, but not too concerned about raising rates. He is only 7, and yes, he had a busy health care year, but that happens from time to time. In the long term, you collect your premiums and we hope our pets are healthy. But, to increase premiums because we ned to take care of our pets is not the right thing to do. I don't think you're losing money !!!

Best insurance, but not cheap.
I love almost everything about my pet insurance, they are very efficient and quick to respond and pay your claims, but they have just increased the premium A LOT, from $78 to $120 a month for my total wellness plan. This is the disappointing part, but if cost isn't an issue for you, it's a non brainer.

Best Pet Investment Made
In June of 2018 our dog was diagnosed with having a fungal infection in his sinus and nose from the mold Aspirgillus. It took 6 months to diagnose and involved several CT scans, nose scopes and different meds. Once the diagnosis was made by an internal medicine specialist, the treatments began. When the veterinarian called to say our dog needed a night in their hospital, after his last treatment, I didn't have to worry about saying yes because of Trupanion. The last tally of costs was over $30k for this non - life - threatening condition. However, had we not treated it, it would have eventually been life threatening. Trupanion has made the process so manageable. Once we met our $500 deductible, they have reimbursed us within 7 business days for 90% of the invoices. Just like when your kid is sick you, just want to focus on getting everyone better. I recommend Trupanion to everyone and even signed up our indoor cat, just to be safe.

The only reason I give it a "5" overall (I would have scored less but I'm being generous) is that my premium raised $30/month
I recommended this insurance to so many of my "pet parent" friends. I was paying $67 month for my dog who was 1+ when I first started my insurance plan. This month (my dog was 3 in May) my premium went up to $93/month! The company said it was because they have their own costs in addition to my dog being a pure breed and over 3. I find this enormous increase in premium outrageous and canceled my full coverage. I now only carry the "major medical" plan for $45/mo. I would not recommend Nationwide any longer; or at best recommend it for a young puppy/dog and then warn my friends that the premium will skyrocket with no warning when their dog turns 3.

Ever Grateful
I don’t know what I would’ve done without Nationwide insurance for my little dog. It’s kept me out of debt, out of arguments, and out of fear and worry for my best friend and companion. My poor little dog has gotten into poisonous mushrooms, fended off a raccoon, and survived two big male dogs going after her. And she has a weird genetic disorder common among the greyhound breeds where toenails break off easily and painfully. I have really needed help and I have always been grateful for the help I get from Nationwide. It’s an insurance premium I am glad to pay.

Best pet insurance on the market!
Out of all the pet insurance companies I researched, Figo Pet Insurance stood out above the rest across the board in the coverage offered. Their claims submission is super easy and their customer service and claims department are top notch. I highly recommend this company! Great value, friendly service, and very quick with reimbursement. You will be very satisfied with Figo!

Expensive but very good coverage with easy reimbursement of vet expenses.
As noted this is an expensive investment but when needed provides effective coverage and expedient reimbursement.
