Easy to file, quick to be reimbursed
It's well worth the money. We get reimbursed not only for vet sick visits, but also vet wellness visits and even prescription food. And the turnaround from claim to reimbursement is now only a few days.

Great insurance. Easy use and good coverage.
I am 100% happy with insurance, except this year insurance rates went up 34% without any notification. Since I have 2 dogs that is quite an increase. I was not happy with the sudden increase, because I left Truepanion (Tyler other dog) because they would increase rates quite a bit every year and when I talked to nationwide at that time they said to not do this because they are a larger company etc. Well it happened. So love to hear back and will also write letter to customer service about this topic.

I made a great decision by choosing Trupanion
I've had Trupanion for 2.5 years, ever since getting my dog. I chose a high deductible on purpose. I wanted something that would be good if something catastrophic occurred but would also be good if she developed a chronic condition over time. The customer service person was very helpful. The monthly premiums have been reasonable, with minimal increases over time. I have had no need to submit anything until the last few months. The first time, she did something to the point where she was unable to jump up. The total bill was under my deductible, so nothing paid. But a couple of weeks ago she went from being healthy to not eating, throwing up, and diarrhea that lasted over 24 hours. Of course, this was on the weekend. So off to the ER we went. She needed to stay overnight. But Trupanion covered everything they said they would. I met my deducible and they paid 90% of everything over it that they cover (does not cover initial exam). Claim submission is easy (upload a PDF of the bill). It took a week for them to process the claim. The money was deposited to my account within one business day of their emailing me their decision. Needless to say, I'm very happy with them. They are different than your typical health insurance setup and I do recommend you read their materials thoroughly, so you understand that. I'm glad I did.

Figo is provides exceptional pet insurance.
A friend told me about her experiences with Figo and recommended that I get insurance for our newly adopted dog, Sage. I’m so thankful for her advice. The online claim process is easy and efficient!
Although the cost of the policy rose over 40% from 2019 to 2020, competitive insurance prices are within $20 of Nationwide. It is unfortunate that pet insurance has risen so substantially in one year, and may be unaffordable for the coverage needed in the next few years. Nationwide online claim processing is easy and efficient, an improvement over the past years when we either had to mail or fax claims.

So much better than Trupanion
Unlike Nationwide, Trupanion applies the deductible to every payment. Nationwide also provides more coverage. I’ve recommended Nationwide to pet owners.

Best Investment Ever!
My cat Kramer has been thriving with ongoing treatment for his lymphoma for 2 years now. I could not have afforded the surgery and ongoing treatment without my Trupanion coverage. Trupanion pays my vet directly and I pay only the balance. My Trupanion coverage allowed me to treat Kramer for this treatable disease. Without my coverage I would have been forced to make a terrible decision based solely on economics.
