Thank you for Benefits paying out!
Recently my little chi ( almost 16 years old) was having some discomfort and wasn’t acting like herself so we had to take couple of visits to the doctor. Since her deductible has been paid off while back , we enjoyed getting reimbursed for almost everything. Thank you !

A true partner
Insurance is something you sometimes forget about until you need it and recently I really needed it and am ever so glad Healthy Paws was there for me and my boy - Winston. When I was a kid we were forced to put down our family pet because we couldn’t afford the surgery and so swore to myself that would never ever happen to me. I never want to make a decision on the life of my pet/family member due to finances. Healthy Paws was my obvious choice because they didn’t have limitations on the types of cancer or diseases. With the other companies - what good is having insurance if your pup is diagnosed with something that’s not in your covered list? Recently my boy was diagnosed with an MCT - and needed to have surgery to remove it. Thankfully I didn’t need to worry about the costs. Filing a claim was easy - used my cell app, uploaded a few documents and I received my check before my credit card bill was due. In addition Tyson and Wagner from customer service even sent me a note to check in to see how Winston was recovering. If you’re in need of a good policy, Healthy Paws is the best choice.

Just started
I'm just getting started with this whole pet insurance thing. One thing I'm not happy with is that annually, I'm paying more than the $500.00 limit thats given for the total coverage for my dog plus I have a $100.00 deductible for emergencies. If my dog would ever need life saving treatment, I'll probably have to pay for most of the medical care. I mean, if that's the case, what do I need you for? I don't know...I'll make my judgement of it all at the end of the first year.

Rates went up 25% within first year of having this insurance!!!
What a deceptive company.. When you sign up they say rates will not increase because of claims or age of pet. Well 9 months into the policy my dog got sick and had a few claims, two months later I get an email that my rates are being increase by almost 25%! It's obvious it's because of medical expenses. They say the increase is because of rate increases in the area. What a lie, then why is it my rates went up and two other people I know did not have rate increases(we live in the same area). I'm really disgusted with this insurance and how they increase their rates to whatever they want. They make it so you can't afford insurance, so sad.. when you're trying to do what's best for your pets. If you're going to sign up with Healthy Paws be prepared for significant increases every year!

It's a lifesaver!
Always fast, easy and reliable. I couldn't afford the medication for my dog's chronic illness without the help of Trupanion. It is a literal lifesaver.

Amazing support
I love knowing I have someone in my corner when my fur baby isn’t well. I don’t have to worry too much about the cost of taking her to the vet cause I know Nationwide has my back and helps with her preventatives as well.

Our Pet’s Need Insurance Just Like We Do
Our sweet little girl “Sparklebaby” is 14 years old. She’s still a spunky dog but with several health issues this past year. We’re grateful we have insurance for her. We have insured her since she was a puppy. These days it had been very beneficial. Thanks Nationwide.

Supportive, reassuring, quick response and caring!
I have 2 mix breed dogs that we rescued as puppies and insured them through Healthy Paws early on. I chose Healthy Paws because the reviews were great and their rates and coverage was affordable and it fit our needs. Our oldest dog, Tanner, has had 2 emergencies, prior to our recent one, and processing claims through the Healthy Paws App were a breeze and the claims and reimbursement were processed quickly. Our most recent emergency occurred at the beginning of this March. Tanner began to cry out of what appeared to be pain and to drag his front left leg. In a span of 7 days, we visited his vet twice where x-rays were taken (no fractures) and pain medication and steroid prescribed. By the 7th day, his whole left side began to drag and he was crying non stop. I was advised to rush him for emergency neurological assessment. On my way to the neurologist, I called Healthy Paws and I was assured that Tanner’s medical needs would be covered and was asked to focus on Tanner and not to worry! Well Tanner had a ruptured disk on his neck that required emergency surgery. Tanner underwent an MRI, surgery, 10 days in the hospital because he needed 24/7 care, numerous medication and physical therapy. I cannot say enough about the importance of purchasing pet insurance! We could not have given Tanner the proper medical care that he needed if it wasn’t for Healthy Paws! The hospital needed payment upfront and Healthy Paws made arrangements to pay the hospital directly. Our out-of-pocket cost was $1,900. A fraction of what the hospital charged! We are going on 4 weeks since Tanner had his surgery and he is beginning to walk on his own again. It will be a long recovery but I am glad to know Healthy Paws is here for us! They even contacted me to know how Tanner was coming along! My advise, chose the maximum plan. We purchased the plan with a $100 deductible and a 90% reimbursement! Well worth the monthly premium!
