Bilateral TPLO surgery covered
I enrolled my pup with Trupanion not long after I got him and I'm glad I did. Just before turning 2 he injured his knee. I was told he would need TPLO surgery but little did I know when it came the day of surgery he actually needed both knees done. I was prepared to pay for one but hadn't considered both. I'm glad I had the insurance, this made the decision to do both knees a very easy one. The only thing I found was it took quite a while (longer than the 7-10 days) to get the refund from Trupanion for what they were going to cover. Otherwise I am very happy with the outcome and it was an easy process. Thanks Trupanion!

Happy overall
I am happy overall with my coverage. Claims are handled quickly and for the most part easily done. Coverage is good. However pet is prone to ear infections and it Baffles me that you refuse to cover vet visits and medications bc he has had more than one over a period of time. A child would be covered for same, why not a pet? Its not lack of care that causes them. Dont understand that.

MY CHIHUAHUA WOULD NOT BE HERE IF IT WERENT FOR THE HELP OF NATIONWIDE PET INSURANCE. HE CONTRACTED MENNINGITIS AND BARTONELLA AT THE SAME TIME ONE YEAR AGO. IT WAS AND HAS BEEN A COSTLY JOURNEY TO KEEP HIM ALIVE AND NOW FINALLY DOING WELL..THANKS TO NATIONWIDE COVERING MOST ALL OF HIS COSTS. tHIS IS A GREAT INSURANCE COMPANY AND i RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO GETS A PET TO INSURE THEM IMMEDIATLEY THROUGH NATIONWIDE. yOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN AND THEY HAVE COME THROUGH FOR MY PET. Quick to respond to claims
I find Trupanion extremely fast in responding to a claim. I am disappointed the the whole vet visit is not qualifying as my deductible and only the medication qualifies. After all; I never would have taken Samson/ Mush Mush to the vet had he not been vomiting.

Bodie's Cancer Fight
Our golden retriever, Bodie, has been diagnosed with two mast cell tumors in his nasal cavity with spread to one lymph node. Treatment, which includes stereo static radiation and nine months of chemo, carries an estimated cost of $23,500. He is only four years old, and we want to give him a fighting chance to have at few more good years. This would be impossible if we didn't carry Trupanion pet insurance. Excellent service
Nationwide has been very easy to work with and reimburse quickly for claims. The one negative things would be that the premiums went up after only one year of having them.
