Service is Faster, but the limits are still too low
Returns for claims have become much faster in the last few months. That is very appreciative, since I've been spending money on pets both for unexpected expenses and annuals. The biggest issue is still the caps on treatments. My foxhound contracted an unexpected infection following surgery at a surgical site. It's taken lots of care, vet visits, and antibiotics both topical and oral, to get the site nearly healed. However, I've "maxed out" of the amount allowed for that treatment. What? I still have another week - two weeks of treatments needed to get the site fully healed. If my vet still needs to treat it, and my animal still needs treatment, then why is there a cap -especially at the cost monthly we pay for an older dog? Also, the coverage for heartworm preventative isn't even half of annual treatments. We live in Florida. We must treat all year, even if others choose to not treat in the winter up north. Why are you only covering less than half? And apparently fleas don't count in the health of the dog, or dental care either because there is no coverage. So, while I continue, there are certainly improvements that can be made. People are buying pet insurance these days, stop trying to squeeze us for every penny. More people would buy it, but you've given yourselves a bad reputation for not paying (trying to say everything is pre-existing), and setting limits too low.

I highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance if you love your pet!
I have been a Nationwide Pet insurance customer since 2014. When I joined, my dog was a healthy 6 years old with no preexisting health conditions. For the first several years I only needed to submit a claim twice a year when I took my dog in for his semi-annual checkup. I was always shocked with how much was reimbursed (typically 85% or more) on every visit and I received the reimbursement ACH direct deposit within 1-2 weeks of submitting the claim. Because of this, I made sure to take my dog to consistent vet appointments to ensure his health, without worry of how much I needed to pay when I checked him out. I didn't truly appreciate Nationwide Pet Insurance until this last year. My dog is now 12 years old, has developed arthritis, allergies, and gets sick on a more consistent basis. I have had to take him to the vet several times in the last year due to natural old age. Constantly going to the vet can add up quickly, but with Nationwide, I have been reimbursed up to 85% of his bills and paid within 1-2 weeks every time. If you don't want financial strain to get in the way of keeping your pet healthy and comfortable, I highly recommend Nationwide!

I am glad I insured Ace with you
I insured Ace when he was less than 1 year old, and I am intending to continue this insurance. It is very helpful and I feel assured to know he is well covered. Last year onwards, I even went ahead and added a "well care" package, which I do think it is very helpful as it covers things like trifleix and regular doctor visits and other basic things.

Absolutely recommend!!!
I have had pet insurance with Nationwide for the past 11 years (when it was previously VPI) and I have been very, yes very, satisfied the entire time. I was nervous when Nationwide took over that it would changes things for the negative but I genuinely have no complaints. Every time I have talked to someone through customer service, billing, claims, etc - they have been friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. My monthly cost has gone up as time has gone by, but I think that is to be expected. That may influence for some people as your pet ages, but if you have a pet with chronic conditions - it has been a huge stress relief. It allows you to focus on the care of your pet and not stress as much about the cost. And when my dog was much younger it was also appreciated for spay/neuter, shots, and wellness visits. I was worried there would be lots of exclusions for coverage for anything that came up, and every time, her conditions were covered - EVERY time - over the past 11 years (and we've had LOTS). Overall, I am very very happy I purchased pet insurance, with this company especially and I would absolutely recommend it.

Best decision ever!
I researched many pet insurance providers when we got our dog and Healthy Paws was a great decision! Their coverage offered many price points depending on the deductible you wanted and reimbursement percentage that mattered. We did have to submit a claim for the first time and their process was easy and the customer service was incredible! They regularly communicated with me every step, Checked in on my pet regularly to see how he was doing after his surgery and the overall experience was just incredible. Highly recommend you don’t go without pet insurance as procedures can be expensive and would highly recommend Healthy Paws as your provider!

Great Insurance
Overall, I am very pleased with Nationwide Insurance. I have been a loyal customer for almost 16 years. We currently have three dogs insured. Submitting a claim is so easily done online. They usually pay relatively quickly. Depending on the plan, the reimbursement rate is pretty good. One of my dog’s just had a tumor removed from her lip and the bill was over $700. After the insurance reimbursement it ended up costing us about $75 out-of-pocket. I give that two thumbs up. My neighbor has a different pet insurance for her dog and they reimburse hardly anything. I would definitely recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to a friend or family member. They may not be the cheapest but when you need it, it comes through. You want an insurance you can rely on.

Nationwide is absolutely wonderful in all aspects.
Nationwide makes filing claims easy, there is a quick turnaround for payment, and customer service representatives are knowledgeable, understanding, and pleasant. There is not a long wait time when calling. Premiums are reasonably priced.

Can’t find better
Little higher premium than other Pet insurers, but the ease of filing a claim and the level of coverage can’t be beat. Files are paid quickly and go right into my bank account.
