Exceeded expectations for coverage and claim processing!
Finally decided to try pet insurance with our new 8 week old English Cream Retriever puppy. I was somewhat skeptical about what would be covered and how difficult it would be to make a claim. Nationwide paid for all of the first visits preventative expenses and claim was seamlessly processed in a couple of days. Definitely exceeded my expectations so far!

Tremendous customer service and could not be more pleased with the policy My golden retriever just tore her ACL on a freak accident and the coverage was tremendous. As my vet said. Keep that policy!! The best in the industry

nice To have but out pricing value with renewal increases
Like having a pet insurance policy. Have had for both our boxers since they were 8 weeks. The rate increases at renewal for dogs with well care and minimal acute care are beginning to put price the value. The year 2 to year 3 was almost a deal breaker. If 3 to 4 has another increase. We will change carriers.

Nationwide is hassle free pet insurance
I looked and compared 4 different pet insurers before choosing Nationwide. I've used them for over a year now and have been very pleased with their pricing, comprehensive coverage, and very easy claim filing process. Unfortunately I've had to use the insurance because my dog broke his leg and required extensive surgery. Nationwide was so easy to contact and file claims and within 5 business days I received my payment from them.

Claims get paid relatively fast
I really like Nationwide pet insurance. If I could change one thing it would be at the beginning of the yr meds for heartworm ,fleas coverage even though the shots are free with the vet taking him once a year for this coverage is truly expensive on the pet owners out of pocket . Otherwise very happy Great jo

Best investment ever!!
I initially wasn’t going to pay for pet insurance. I thought, their shots would pretty much cost the deductible so why bother, but as I got my own insurance I figured I’d get it just in case since they were both rescue dogs & I didn’t know their history. Come to find out, our newest dog had heartworm disease. The total cost I was quoted was over $1400, so it was a big relief to know I’d be reimbursed a big chunk of it. I figured I would have to wait 30 days for my payment after filing a claim, but they had me a check within 7-10 business days & even faster when I opted in for electronic payments. This has definitely be a wise investment for my pets & I recommend any pet owner to use Nationwide for their pet’s insurance.

Great Price for Elderly Pup
Our pup is about to turn 13. Nationwide definitely has the best pricing for insurance for him (I check frequently). We have been there for years and have been mostly happy. The ability to upload the vet bills in an app is a HUGE plus and addition, it has made getting our reimbursement so much easier. The parameters of the policy are a bit complicated and sometimes there seems to be a little discrepancy in what gets paid, however it is definitely worth the peace of mind! He got cancer a couple years back and it was a life saver, literally for him and also for our bank account. We could get him the best care without as much concern for cost. Thanks, Nationwide!

Beware, they will entice you with low initial rates but jack you up later
I was initially happy with Healthy Paws and have actually referred friends. Now, I wish I hadn't. I filed a small claim a couple years ago and the process was easy and uncomplicated. I have not filed a claim since 2017. My Border Collie just turned 3 and this company just sent me my renewal rate which is 68% higher than my initial rate. This Healthy Paws will bait and switch you with low initial rates and then jack up your rates later so beware.
