This has been a very excellent insurance policy, I wish I would have gotten it sooner.

I will always choose Healthy Paws to cover my pet!
I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws. When I first adopted my dog from the shelter (my first dog) I never really considered getting pet insurance. After the first dew-claw tear after playing frisbee I decided that I should probably look into it with such an athletic dog. After doing some research and asking around I was referred to Healthy Paws by my coworker and let me tell you: BEST. DECISION. EVER. I find that the price is very reasonable for the exceptional customer service. These guys are VERY responsive, quick, and easy to work with. I wish human insurance companies were as diligent about customer service. To top off the great service, the company’s mission to help animals in need just makes choosing Healthy Paws an easy decision. The quality of life my dog has is optimal because of this company. Mozart and I thank you Healthy Paws!

Very happy!
Understandably it’s a little expensive. That being said so far I have been very happy with my plan. I think this is my forth or fifth year with this policy. Claims are always handled fast and easily. Very happy overall!

Not up for debate - Easy to use
I have had nationwide pet insurance for about 6 months now for my puppy. I have never had any problems getting claims to go through and the reimbursement process is a breeze. Days later funds are back in my account from the vet visit which takes a lot of stress off of my bank account. I have also been able to provide better treatment/preventative treatment for my pet because I'm not afraid of what vet bills will cost.

Glad I got this insurance when I did
I’m glad I got insurance for my younger dog when I did. It paid for my dogs routine spay plus the preventive gastropexy. It didn’t pay for my dogs vulvuplasty due to pre-existing conditions, but when my dog got really sick and another time when she needed her anal glands removed they paid for everything. This dog is 2 years old and has had many problems in a short time, and the insurance pays it all (90%). They even pay for heartworm and flea prevention and general wellness stuff. I’ve been very happy with nationwide for my younger dog, who I have the full wellness insurance on. I would love to get even the emergency insurance on my 9 year old dog, however the cost is too much for her even on the cheapest plan. Fortunately my older dog has never really had any medical issues, and I do keep a care credit card in case I may need in for her instead of insurance. I work in a vet and I always recommend nationwide insurance.

Great reimbursement without hassle
I only have one big recommendation, get your puppy immediately in this plan and include the wellness plan. It has paid of for us. We have 2 labrador dogs and when smaller they had their “eating” accidents. Like swallowing a small ball on the beach from a smaller dog. It seemed to never end to visit the vet with these tedious accidents and the bills were big. The only disappointment was that this year the insurance rate went up quite a bit by 30% or so. No warning letter so that was not so great. At least explain to client that this is coming up, because the rates are substantial now. Still worth it. Very easy to submit bills through the phone app and never a dispute which is so time consuming to handle. Conclusion: for sure get this policy.

Peace of mind
Knowing that a substantial portion of an unexpected vet bill is covered just gives me such peace of mind. Hugo has responded well to the treatment and is actually enjoying. his new diet. It is a blessing to have the coverage especially since the world is so topsy-turvy now.

Thank goodness for pet insurance
To all of those who are thinking of not getting pet insurance but love their animals like family member, GET IT!. When I got Mogley i was in college and couldn't afford much. i couldn't figure out a way to afford monthly pet insurance payments. A couple of years went by and finances got a little better i began shopping around for what I could afford knowing that at some point my love of my life Mogley would need assistance, and vet bills are expensive! With Healthy Paws I was able to choose the coverage I could afford. they give you many options! So... here we are my best buddy is now 11 but still very Spry.he loves to chase bunnies and squirrels and loves swimming, when one day he chases after a bunny and Snap! there goes his ACL. My choices were let him stay lame (he's an old boy but not with out spirit. this didn't seem like the best option for my best bud), the other option were 2 different surgeries. one that fixed the problem but restricted him still, or TPLO which is more expensive but better for recovery and quality of life. Anywhoo the TPLO was quoted close to $6000. what a price tag! thank goodness for my Healthy paws Pet Insurance! I didn't have to even sweat about it! I currently have 80% coverage so when all said in done I think i paid $1300. AND they allowed me a Direct pay option for the surgery where they approved my estimate and allowed the surgeon to just bill me what I owed so I didn't have to temporarily load up my credit card. While the Insurance doesn't cover regular vet visits, it is affordable and easy to use and makes it count when you need it the most.. My deductible is fairly low and the Insurance has come in handy more than once. I would have hated to have to choose the lesser option for Mogley. he is the most deserving soul I know, and to give him anything less than the best life because of a silly price tag seems sad to me.
