While I am MOSTLY satisfied, #1 insurance premiums keep going up. #2 the coverage lessens. It's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for people living in a place like Hawaii AND on a fixed income to continue being covered. At least give a SENIOR citizen discount on the premiums. We would REALLY APPRECIATE it!!!

Insurance that you can rely on with caring personnel.
I bought insurance after first pet when the Veterinarian Office in Vallejo, CA had the hand-outs. But I have found that this company is always improving ways to help the pet and pet parent through in times of crisis and with regular wellness checks. I am now with Nationwide with our fifth pet. All previous have had long lives and good care because we had the insurance coverage to help cover the expenses.

Super easy filing process, and excellent service!
We purchased Nationwide's pet insurance as soon as we got our GSD puppy in early 2019. I particularly liked the wellness plus plan, as we knew we would have a few rounds of puppy shots to pay for early on, which were covered at 100% up to our maximum policy limit, which we didn't reach even with multiple rounds of shots. Nationwide's coverage was also the least expensive and most comprehensive plan that I could find, out of about 10 other companies that I quoted with. I love that we have the ability to claim via an app by simply taking a photo of our vet documents and receipts, and the direct deposit claim payments were a massive plus side for me - no waiting for a check in the mail! Since then, our pup unfortunately came down with kennel cough, which was covered under the major medical plan at 100% after our deductible. This was super helpful as there were a few vet follow up visits that can get expensive! After we renewed this year, we had another unfortunate incident where our pup had an infected cut in his paw. With our insurance plan, this was again covered at 100% after our deductible, and due to our incredible experience the prior year, we were able to tell our vet to do everything they needed to do, without worrying about our out of pocket costs to get him well again! We are very happy with the service provided by Nationwide, and have already recommended them to our friends and family, and will absolutely renew this policy going forward!

I’d be broke without pet insurance.
Having pet insurance has saved us thousands of dollars. I just got my pups teeth cleaned totally over $1,300 and I was refunded 90% of it. Absolutely amazing. I suggest pet insurance, specifically Nationwide to every dog owner I know.

I would never recommend Figo to anyone!!
Figo's customer support seems great up front. In the beginning they are really nice on the phone, telling your everything that you want to hear. Unfortunately, it all goes down hill from there. My dog had surgery on her knee and I filed a claim with the company. The claim was denied and I have been trying to get in contact with them ever since. They no longer answer my emails nor do they call me back, even after they say they will. You can imagine how frustrating this is when all you are asking for, is for them to show you the verbiage in the policy that explains why they denied the claim. I would absolutely steer clear of waisting your money on this company when insuring your pet. When it comes down to it they just take your money and don't really care about you or your pet!!

They try to claim you had a pre-existing condition when you did not in order to deny the claim
Terrible. Do not be fooled by their claim to pay 90%. I would guess they are in financial trouble because of the past claims they have paid in the past. Buyer beware. Do not waste your money-- do not have the any piece of mind in knowing you are paying these premiums because the claims will be denied.. There are so many out there so much better.......

I’ve had Nationwide Pet Insurance for our pets for 3 years. I’m pleased with the policy that pays for wellness and sick visits. I wish the policy rate didn’t go up every year. However, it’s worth it to know that I can get whatever treatment they might need; and be reimbursed 90% of the costs.
