I'm not impressed with the insurance product we've purchased. I didn't listen to naysayers that said nearly everything would be excluded and I'm learning the hard way. We're currently shopping for an alternative; if that doesn't get us what we're wanting, we will bank the premiums we're paying now to offset future expense.

Best decision I have ever made.
I have had this insurance for my last 2 labs and would NEVER go without it! Everyone I have interacted with is helpful and professional and my claims are always processed quickly and efficiently. The premiums are very reasonable and communication with staff is always pleasant.

great to have but...
It's expensive if I'm being honest. I have 3 dogs and all are insured. The multiple dog discount is a joke considering the net amount that I pay. And then you have to reach the deductable to receive any money back. And let me say that to meet the deductable you are only credited 90% of each vet bill- so it takes a lot longer to reach then you would think. Overall, Im not sure its worth the benefit of the insurance when I do the math. From an experience perspective, the online form doesn't allow you to write in any comments to the reason for the visit. Which I think is an over sight. The mail in forms were a little better there. It takes about a month to get a check back and if they question something you don't find out until the letter comes which can be over a month from the date that you submitted and then you need to chase down the "why" from your vet and re-submit. Waiting yet another month to receive the money if they approve the why. I find this frustrating. They should email you with the question and have better communication with you. it would speed things up. I do try to make sure my vet gives reason for everything, but I have missed things too. I get that they question things, just frustrated to the length of time and needing to float the vet expense longer. so IDK, I'm on the fence. It's really expensive and it's a lot of work to fill out the paper work- especially if your at the vet every month like I am. I do have some peace of mind that if something horrible happened I can make the choice on what to do that is not driven by finances 100%. But it's really expensive and a lot of work.

Really Good Company
Great company! Easy claim submission with fast reimbursement. I’m sure I pay more for premiums than I get in reimbursements, but you can’t put a price on piece of mind should something happen to my pups. So far Nationwide has delivered!

Great and fast service
Nationwide Pet Insurance has been a pleasure to deal with. Claims are easy to make and paid swiftly. We have had coverage for 8 years and have not had any problems at all. All insurance companies should live up to their standards.

Great service / Great Coverage - Perplexed by the annual increase in premiums!
I'm so happy to have Mister covered by Nationwide Pet. We've always had great response with inquiries and fast claims processing. However, my annual premium has increased 80% in just one year! This is outrageous, and something that is giving me pause to continue past this next year. If the annual increase is similar in the future, I'll need to find other coverage. I understand underwriting, and insurance policies, but this sort of increase was insane!

Best decision ever!
We purchased insurance from Embrace the first six months after the "new arrival" came home, hoping to never use it. We have....twice. At this point we are over $1,000 ahead after deducting the premiums. So glad we purchased it.

#1.
#1. You have direct pay with both Pet Care East & Animal Care Center. I had two critically ill dogs during COVID lock down. very fast turn around with reponse to invoice. #2. For vets and services that don't do direct pay, you have easy Online, scan & drop in claim box. You direct pay into my checking account very quickly along with emailing me the invoice. #3. We pick deductible per incidence NOT per year. #4. Unlimited lifetime coverage #5. You can choose to have extra coverage like rehab, chiro acupunture & pay more or NOT. #6. Direct monthly bill out of my checking account. #7. All employees are very nice and informative on the phone. She explained why the huge increase, due to your breed in your area, not on my dogs being sick. It is a group increase NOT someone singles out. You can raise your deductible, you just have to pay the remaining amount for that incident. #8 Need to read policy, very clear you do NOT pay any consult or exam fees. Be aware some University hospitals do not break down their charges but charge one lump consultation fee. So glad both my dogs are alive due to the incredible health care they have gotten from specialist, including Oncologist, radiation Oncologist, neurologist, dermatologist, chemotherapy, radiation (coming), brain MRI, spinal tap, biopsy's, and pathologies. The list goes on of all the amazing tests & Dr.s that made it possible for me to have both dogs right now. Typed on phone sorry typos
