So happy I have ASPCA pet insurance

I have had ASCPA pet insurance on my two dogs now for a few years. I have one dog that suffers with skin conditions pretty regularly and having this insurance has been extremely beneficial for me as his vet bills can be pretty pricey. I never have any issues filing a claim online, the process is very easy. I am always thrilled when I see how much I get reimbursed back. For me having this insurance is 100% worth it.

Rejected first claim due to pre-existing SYMPTOM (dog threw up once) - Zero customer service available

This company gladly took my monthly fees however the very first claim they rejected due to seeing a previous vet visit where my dog threw up. They called it a pre-existing SYMPTOM which isn't described in their policy at all, in fact the vet visits revealed my dog was healthy before I started with this company. Cancelling service is a huge hassle, you can't do it online. I emailed 5-6 times, logged the request through the website and still no response however when the time came they certainly charged me again. Currently on a 45 min hold hoping someone actually works at this company. Apparently they have not figured out how to work from home and use the current COVID situation as an excuse to reduce their staff.

The best pet insurance is Nationwide.

Hurley is 15 1/2 years old and has been insured with Nationwide since 2008, she had had many health issues as she was neglected. Nationwide has never let me down and has helped with the ability to properly care for my best friend and help her live to 15 years. I wouldn’t recommend any other company, they care about my pet as much as I do

Trupanion Came Through!

Finley is our first dog in 35 years of owning wonderful canine’s to have pet insurance. We were skeptical but decided to go forward with a plan knowing that veterinary costs have escalated and we wanted to provide the best care for our little man. Nothing is more heartbreaking to make a medical decision for your beloved animal based on the cost of care. When looking into various insurers, we checked Trupanion’s credibility with our vet and Finley’s breeder. Each provided positive feedback. On a Saturday evening, we were faced with an emergency and needed a 24/7 facility. We had a 10 month old puppy with 104 fever, extremely lethargic and unable to walk. Finley spent several days hospitalized. Thus, our first claim! After having a delay in processing, due to incomplete pet medical history records, our claim of $2,600., for a septic joint issue, was processed and paid according to policy terms and prior to 30 days of submission. Thank you, Trupanion and your Customer Service team who helped us through our claim!

Having Trupanion is a no brainer for us.

I have two large four year old Black & Tan Coonhounds covered by Trupaniun. It's money very well spent. Most ailments are covered, claims are easy to file and payment is quickly deposited directly into my checking.

I had VIP Ins.

I had VIP Ins. before getting Trupanion. My other dog Pixie was very healthy and ever had anything wrong with her health wise until she was 12 1/2. It just came out of blue and she got pancreatitis on a Friday and she had to be put down because she had a rare condition called calcified gall bladder which discovered by specialist vet on Monday. I called VIP and they could not tell me what and if they would pay for anything They said they could not tell until the bill came in. This is why I got the insurance to help out in emergency situation. The bill ending up being about $3500 and I got Care Credit to help me pay for it. VIP send me a refund for around $1700. I was so stressed. it was Heart breaking to put her to sleep on Wed. She was sedated but the vet said she was in awful pain. She still waged her tail when she saw my husband and I before we put her to sleep. Dogs are so amazing The vet works at UC Davis and was working on drugs to help dogs who get a calcified gall bladder and was working on trying to find out why. He said it was rare in small dogs mainly in larger dogs. Pixie was a ShihTzu like Mia. Broke our hearts. Our family Vet, Dr. Heart, Pixie also went to regularly. She was aware of my story with Pixie since she took care of Pixie all her life and referred her to the specialist at the end. She said I should look into Trupanion. I did and because of Dr. Heart at Reagor Pest Hospital in Carmichael, CA I got your insurance. I feel comforted to know that is something happens to Mia I pay 10% of the total bill and my copay. Hopefully Mia will not have to go thru anything like Pixie did and will continue to have a happy, healthy life. Thanks for being there for us. It's comforting to know you are there if we ever need you. Lynda Beaver, Sacramento, CA

I wish you pay the Dr.'s fees. Thanks.

It was a bit faster due the Coronavirus..., but the Hospital deals directly with you, It was good; than me submitting the claim. But it was costly $$$ I totally forgot that Trupanion pet Insurance does NOT pays the Doctors Fees, + plus my deductible $500.00 I ended up paying a lot of money from my pocket. I wish Trupanion pays the Doctors fee in the near future, but in a way, thank God! for your Insurance. Overall, it's a peace of mind to have a pet Insurance Trupanion; otherwise I'll need I do not know... Thank you very much.

Trupanion pet insurance is so worth it!

Rapid response, good communication, I have 2 healthy 5 year old cats and Trupanion has already paid for itself this year and last. Easy to submit a claim on line.
