I had a great experience nationwide
I had a great experience with nationwide. I have a four year-old tortoise who is family and it’s a very comforting feeling to know that he will have health insurance in case something unfortunate happens.

Davon was super knowledgeable and super friendly to talk to. I appreciated his guidance as this is a product/service. I have never purchased in the past. We are considering doing so but wish to speak to our vet first. Thank you.

I think it would be nice to be able to…
I think it would be nice to be able to add multiple “owners” than just one owner. I share our cat with my fiancé. I wanted to add her to the account as well, but that was not an option.

Not All Fees and Costs Are Clearly Specified Up Front
The pre-existing condition explanation is ambiguous (are allergies covered, unclear; what is the effect of having a different insurer for one of the pets, unclear). The nickle and dime fees were not stated upfront or at least so that I noticed them (e.g., an enrollment fee, a fee for paying monthly as opposed to annually, etc.,). On the other hand, and of course we'll have to see what the actual experience is, this is the only pet insurer that provides a "family plan", and the difference in cost between insuring three animals as a "family plan" versus insuringing them individually is substantial. Now, we must see how things actually work out.
