Disappointed, borderline fraud
I've had Nationwide insurance for 4 months now for my dog under the Whole Pet with Wellness plan. I chose the plan because it was the cheapest option which covered basic wellness and catastrophes. Most insurances only cover one or the other. But I am dissatisfied with the insurance so far for the following reasons: 1) The insurance is supposed to cover routine dental cleanings. So I got my dogs teeth cleaned and the claim for the entire dental bill was denied under the reasoning that the dogs tartar was a pre-existing condition. It was a basic cleaning with no extractions. Still fighting this. 2) They take forever to review you claim. They say the max wait time is 30 days and you can look forward to waiting the max period every claim. Heaven forbid they have to ask you for more info... it goes onto another 30 days after you supply the info. They could potentially just keep asking for more info and never pay you a cent. I've got over $1000 in vet bills I had to pay out of pocket and have been waiting for Nationwide to pay for going on 4 months now. This is unacceptable. Will most likely cancel the policy early.

I have been using Embrace for 4 years now and I’ve never had an issue regarding claim coverage. They are prompt with their reviews and pay direct to my account within days. Their claim process is quick and easy. My dog has had significant medical needs and they have been excellent to work with!

Insure with Pets Plus Us ASAP
Have had nothing but exceptional experiences with Pets Plus Us. I researched all the main pet insurers and read all the fine print. Pets Plus Us stood out as the clear winner and I ensured our Boxer shorty after adopting her at 14 weeks. Less than a month after paying our first premium we found out she had an incredibly rare condition that required surgery and multiple specialist visits. If it had not been for the insurance we have been out of pocket thousands of dollars. Have since had other smaller medical concerns come up and Pets Plus Us has always been there to help. Claims are always paid promptly and when I have needed to speak to a person they always answer quickly and are caring and compassionate to whatever we have been going through. I recommend Pets Plus Us to anyone who asks and sometimes to those that don't ask!

Couldn't ask for better support and service
I did a lot of research when looking for pet insurance and was nervous because I had experience with sick pets and not being able to get claims approved and processed in the past. I have been using Embrace for several years now and over the years my little cat has had several serious health issues, and I couldn't ask for any better service. The claims are easy to make, they are processed quickly, I always know where they are at and the payment comes very quickly. The customer service department had called me several times and I thought they were calling to sell me something but they were calling to check to make sure my experience was great. So it has been. Thank you Embrace. Having a sick pet is hard and you make the financial support end of it painless.

Emergency for puppy
My puppy had a horrible accident happen. She was run over by a car, but thankfully survived. During all the trauma, Healthy Paws was right there is ensure that they would be paying the out of pocket costs for services. My puppy had laceration surgery and Healthy Paws paid my vet directly on the spot over the phone. The bill was covered at 90%! This is a great pet insurance company, that offers support and is available to answer all the questions you have during such a difficult time.
