I would absolutely recommend using Healthy Paws as your Pet Insurance. I have been a customer for over 5 years, and they have always been so helpful, responsive, and compassionate. The claims process is so easy and convenient. I never have to worry!

Waste of money
They take forever to give you an answer. They make up reasons to deny your claim & you have to wait on hold at least 30 minutes to have them start the process. Children crying in the background.

Amazing company! I have recommended them to all of my friends with pets. They are so fast to approve my claims and my reimbursement is in my account within a few days. They have never denied one of my claims and has great customer service.

Extremely poor service
My GSD was diagnosed with a very aggressive and fatal cancer in October 2022, he was only 6 years old. After aggressive treatment to maintain a quality of life, he died the following month. It was heartwrenching. What made it worse was the extremely poor service from Healthy Paws that caused me so much anxiety and upset, that I want to warn others. They have multiple agents around the country, a lot of them nice, but poorly-trained. I got different stories every time I called, they continued to bill my credit card even after my dog was dead, said it was "necessary to keep the claims open". That is not true and against the law. I did eventually receive a refund. My first upload of records came with a thank you for records from a cat clinic, he was a dog. Uploads of information was only partially received by them. I copied over a hundred pages of records and mailed it certified mail, return receipt, received Dec 9th. They did not upload the records until December 14th. I keep getting emails asking for records even on December 24th, Christmas Eve!! Apparently the agents are not trained to look under scanned items. Finally on December 28th, I spoke to a manager, told her my lawyer advised me to make this my last phone call, and threatened them with NY State Dept of Finance, Insurance Divison. I demanded all my claims to be pulled back, given to one agent, to tell them to look under scanned documents. My claims were paid the next day. I should not have been put through the constant emails demanding information already provided. Finally, at the beginning of this, I was told by an agent that I only needed one claim form for all 13 bills, when in fact I needed 13 claim forms, one for each bill. I have not been compensated for my time telling them how to do their job, the constant harrassment of e-mails asking for information already provided, the inability for anyone to actually take the next step in the process, and the anxiety and constant tears this whole process cost me. I would not recommend this insurance company to anyone, be prepared to fight for what you pay your monthly fees pay for. Horrible.
