Takes forever to pay claims

When submitting a claim it says will process in 3 days. Then it switches to 5-10 days. Then it switches to 15 days. Policy says they will be pay within 30 dqys. I'm at day 28 and nothing has been done with my claim. I'll be filing a complaint with the Attorney General. Met Life does not do what they promise in the contract but expect me to follow it or they'll cancel you. Go with another provider and skip over MetLife.

Love MetLife!

I currently have 5 standard poodles with MetLife Pet Insurance, and have had my policies for several years. I have been very happy with MetLife, and have had all of my claims paid for over the last several years. The length of time for reimbursement on illness claims has increased, but all have been settled within 30 days or less. My wellness claims are reimbursed within a week usually. I have had several different pet insurance policies over the last 12 years and MetLife is my favorite, so far.

great insurance that doesn't go up with age!

Its worth every penny, I have absolute peace of mind knowing that my dog is covered! He got a dental cleaning and his vaccines updated last year under Petsecure unlimited plan. And had over $5000 coverage for my 6.5 yr old dog that 80% was covered - including the exam fees and the fee for the referral we had to see in May 2024 for my dogs ongoing ear infection. Which quickly was resolved thanks to the specialist. All covered!!!

Healthy Paws is the best

I have 2 dogs about 4 years old who have been problems for some time now. Fred (a mixed breed rescue) tore his both ACL's and a meniscus and Wilma (a Labrador retriever) is prone to mast cell tumors. Both were able to receive the best care because of Healthy Paws. I also had my last dog Mr. Magoo insured through Healthy Paws and, even though he was a big dog (80 pounds), he lived comfortably until 14 years old since we were able to provide the best care for him.

Great Coverage, Especially for Multiple Dogs

Very happy with my MetLife Pet Insurance coverage. It is great that we can cover both dogs with a single plan that means we reach the deductible more quickly and can make the most of the benefits. I haven't had any issues with claims being denied even though one dog had to have some pretty serious surgery. Claim processing has been a bit slower than they said it would be, but overall, I've been pleased with their service.

PetsBest is worth it!

"We had a different pet insurance more than 20 years ago and had nothing good to say about it. When we got our newest rescue dog, the vet had flyers about PetsBest in the office and we decided to give pet insurance another try. It has been worth it! PetsBest is easy to file claims with, responds quickly, has provided great coverage, and the customer service has been excellent. We would highly recommend PetsBest to anyone!"

I'm sorry I switched to Pets Best

I filed a claim for my 6yo Tibetan Terrier's ear infection which occurred within the 14 day waiting period. It wasn't covered, which I completely understand. However, it is now deemed a pre-existing condition, and any ongoing issues she may have due to this infection or any ear infection from here on out will not be covered. Even if it's in the other ear? Also, Pets Best excludes medicines, which were covered by her previous insurance., Read the fine print. And if you have a question that isn't in the FAQs, be prepared to go through a many call prompts and an extended wait time on the phone.

A Reliable Partner

After 5 years with Pet's Best insurance I can say that they've been a reliable partner in the care of my pet. The claims process is simple and quick. You never get the feeling they're trying to get out of pain your claim if it's legitimate. I will continue to use them as my pet insurance provider.

Osteosarcoma

"My dog Fiona was diagnosed with osteosarcoma which is a devastating diagnosis, but Pets Best has been there all along, first for the amputation of her leg and then for the chemotherapy. Fiona is tolerating chemo well and is headed into her last round. Pets Best reimbursed 90% of her amputation and 90% of each of her chemo treatments and the money was deposited in my account before my credit card was due. Fiona and I are very thankful that we chose Pets Best. It has allowed her to live a longer quality life and we are very grateful for that.

Just like breathing, smooth and easy

Very easy to put in a claim most claims have been paid. I think they paid a total of $50,000 in claims for our dogs two of them had cancer. Could not be happier. I’ve sent between 12 and 15 people to pets best and always recommend them when I’m in a clinic if I see somebody Sitting in the waiting room with me.
