The reason my cat is alive.
My cat is over 15 years of age and Trupanion helped her since she was just over year old. She broke both her hips less than a year apart at a time when money was tight. I would have had to put her down with the first one without this insurance. I gave advised many people over the years to insure their pets. It makes it so much easier when deciding about costly treatments. Thank you Trupanion for my girl!

Has Saved My Dog's Life
To date, Trupanion has paid out almost $9,000 for my dog (he's only 4 years old!). I would have bankrupted myself to take care of him, but because I had Trupanion I had the peace-of-mind knowing he could have the very best care without hesitation. Trupanion has saved my dog, and my wallet. I recommend it to everyone, and being a vet tech, I recommend it to every client I see as well. Get it now! You will be so glad you did! :)

Best pet insurance out there!!!
My fur baby has lots of health problems and it would be very expensive to try and pay all the bills without insurance. They have always been very prompt with claims and customer service is very courteous and helpful . I recommend them to everyone I know with pets!!! They're awesome!

Monthly Cost
Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
