Savings a Life

I have had Penny since July 3rd, 2010. She is a boxer and I got her as a puppy. As soon as I got her I got Trupanion. I can say with 100% certainty that without Trupanion Penny would not be alive today. She was a healthy puppy, but as she got older she developed a thyroid problem, an autoimmune problem, and recently larynx paralysis. Trupanion has been there for me and Penny every step of the way. Trupanion is the BEST!!!

A Blessing to have Trupanion in my life

My 12 year old Jack Russell was just diagnosed as a Diabetic. I took her to the vet because she stopped eating, was lethargic and didn't want to move or do anything that she normally did. she was diagnosed with Diabetic ketoacidosis. She had to stay at the hospital for 4 days straight. When I brought her in I was beside myself with worry, and when I saw the estimate of cost I was scared. Scared that I was going to have to make a decision that I was not prepared or ready to make. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. To me she is my baby. And how can I say "put her down" because I can't afford the bill. That guilt would haunt me forever. But once I was informed what Trupanion would cover, I was relieved to know I can actually get a handle on this, and get my baby healthy again. Trupanion Thank you for everything. I have my baby girl back now and were working on a schedule to get a handle on her diabetes.

Wry free pet insurance

I have had to make 2 claims for overnight hospital visits and 1 for an ear infection and they were all handled without a hitch. It is fantastic to be able to get my dog the care she needs without having to worry about the bills.

Great and quick processing

I have had my 7 dogs insured through Trupanion for 5 or so years. I have tried all the insurance providers and Trupanion is the best. I offer pet insurance as a benefit to my staff and I have referred many clients. Jean, "Lead Dog" Top Dog Country Club.

Great Coverage; Wonderful agents

One of my cats had a malignant mass in his small intestine requiring surgery and chemotherapy. The claim was handled amazingly quickly for a large amount (over $6000)and the subsequent claims for the ongoing chemotherapy are processed in less than a week. It helps to submit the medical reports along with the invoice.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
