Scam. Please read!

We already did but basically our dog had an incident over 2 years ago, healed completely from it, then injured it again. Now you won't cover it because, according to you, it was pre-existing. If it was pre-existing, the numerous vet checkups would've said that but they did NOT because it had been healed. I guess if our pets break a leg, recover, then break the same leg 2 years later you won't cover it????? Cancelling the policy soon and telling the world and everyone we know about how trupanion insurance is a scam. Oh and don't let me forget...you raised our rates 20% for no reason! We've never had a claim until now(which you clearly didn't cover), but you raised our rates an incredible amount. We pay $200/month now!! Trupanion does not care, has horrible customer service, and is a scam!!

Seamless and Easy

Took my bullmastiff in for an ear infection. All I had to do was tell my vet that we had insurance through Trupanion and they took care of the rest. Treatment was covered and received emails right away with confirmation.

Great Experience

They paid the claim before I even finished sending them all of the information they had requested. They got the bill directly from the vet and paid their part of the claim in about three days. Awesome!

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
