Making an emotional time easier to handle

Our dog was terribly ill and being able to go ahead with all the tests the vets were suggesting, knowing that Trupanion would cover the costs was such a relief. Having direct billing made it even easier at the end of the visit as we were only responsible for paying the difference rather than the whole cost up front and waiting for a refund. It took about 15 mins for our claim to go through. Amazing! We are happy to say that because of our coverage, we could afford all the treatments necessary and our dog is now on her way to feeling better.

Unbelievable efficient and cost effective!

Wonderful service and timely processing of claims directly through our vet. The insurance coverage of 90% certainly gives one a feeling of comfort that you can pay for your animal's care when needed.

Exceptional service

Every experience I have had with Trupanion has bee exceptional. I only wish that 'people' insurance was as efficient and transparent as Trupanion is for pets!

Fast Serivce

The last claim my Vet sent in was processed as soon as Trupainon received the claim. Within a day I was sent am email that it had been processed and within 2 days later I received in the mail my cheques. Claims have always been processed very fast and if my claim for meds are received I receive a cheque in the mail within a week.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
