me & my kitty would be sunk without "Tru!"

I registered my then 12-plus yr old kitty about a year BEFOE she developed an alarming "hacky" cough in Dec 2014; since then she gets $90 worth of shots evry 2 1/2 to 3 wks, for which I PAY less than $9--I'm on fixed income, anbd this is a blessing for both of us; Trupanion pays their share before we leave the vet's office, and promptluy send hard copies, and always follow up w/emails!--I'm SO GLAD I found Trupanion, I carry brochures to give out to folks..ifand when it's time for a"next" cat, I'll be getting Trupanion right away!

Excellent customer service and appeal process

Our beagle had a reoccurrence of a mast cell tumor and with Trupanion's help, our claims were accepted and paid. Trupanion is fair and honest and truly cares about our dog's medical care. We couldn't be happier!

A must have insurance

Although Trupanion doesn't cover any dr visit charges (ie the actual charge for the vet to see your pet ) and no regular things like normal shots, fecals, etc., and, of course, pre existing conditions, they cover 90% of all other treatments- no "schedules" that limit the total amount they'll cover for certain ailments, injuries, etc. You can select a deductible, so you can control the cost of the premium. Trupanion agents are friendly, responsive, and quick to pay . My pug has had serious ongoing medical issues for over 2 years, and I don't know what I would have done without Trupanion. I did a lot of research before selecting Trupanion , and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made!

Trupanion is the best!

We did not have insurance for our first pet and even though she was healthy, our vet bills over 10 years of fairly minor events added up to over $3000. When we got our new dog, Kiera we knew we wanted illness/accident insurance from the beginning. Our Veterinarian suggested Trupanion and it has proven to be a great decision. Our dog stepped on a thorn and contracted a rare fungal infection of her lymph system. She required surgery, biopsies, multiple anti-fungal medications, Veterinary Internist consultations etc and each claim has been paid in a timely manor. Kiera was admitted to the Ontario Veterinary College earlier this year and they did direct billing to Trupanion on our behalf - we were told that OVC only offers that service for owners who have Trupanion insurance! We have been able to pursue the best care and treatment for Kiera with the peace of mind knowing that Trupanion is there for us! She is now doing well on oral medication that costs over $700/month. Needless to say, this probably would not be the case without Trupanion. We can't say enough good things about their product and service.

Trupanion - The BEST 4 legged insurer out there !!

My experience with Trupanion has been terrific !! It starts from the moment that I call with a question etc. ie. it all begins with the terrific people that answer any & all queries that I have. They are all amazing to deal with !! Kudos to them all! The claims process is incredibly quick & your client (me) couldn't be happier !! I have 3 "kids" insured by you & in all the years I've been with Trupanion, there has been very few claims that were rejected ! Another reason why I love being covered by Trupanion !! Finally, the product speaks for itself ie. my "kids" are covered from head to tail for almost any illness or accident - definitely peace of mind for their "Dad" (me) !! Keep up the terrific service & once again, thank you for taking such great care of my "kids" !!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
