Decrease co-insurance after 5 years of premiums
After five years of paying premiums I get a letter out of the blue that they are decreasing what they will pay in co-insurance. This is on top of a recent increase in premiums and increase in deductible. They will not share how they decided to reduce our coverage by 20%. It is a 'secret' what they base their calculations on. Paying premiums for 80% co-insurance and $5000.00 per incident/condition. My dog just reached $5000.00 total for all health conditions combined after 5 years. You are exopected to accept it because gee whiz they will recview it again in 6 months. Of course who would object to paying another 20%? Like others have said average payment is over a month. Also appear to penalize you if you submit frequent small claims
