Horrible company - Do not go with these guys!

This company totally penalizes you for using your policy! Twice now in a matter of 18 months, they have changed our 'policy' because we have had to make claims. Sadly, my three year old dog is a bit of a lemon, but they do not like having to pay for that. Crazy, which is the reason we pet owners get insurance in the first place! We have one dog who has never yet had a claim and one who has had to have a lot of surgeries and medical care. So it goes. When we sign up for insurance, we hope to never use it, but also hope for peace of mind for when we need to use it. This is not the case with Petsecure. Honestly, worst company ever.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This company is an absolute joke. I was with them for almost two years, and finally had to make a (perfectly legitimate) claim. They refused it, but oh, it only took me about 6 weeks and probably a half a dozen phone calls to find out. Do not waste your money, I spent more then $2000 on this joke of a "business". I am in customer service and if I EVER treated my clients this way, Id be fired.

Amazing experience

I have had a truly wonderful experience with Petsecure so far! My kitten had to go to the emergency vet because he had swallowed part of his toy and they were very helpful - processed my claim quickly and with no hassle. Whenever I have called in to speak to anyone on the phone they have always been super helpful and showed a genuine interest in my cat. Would definitely recommend them!!

Takes far too long

This company takes far too long in refunding a claim. And they have the nerve at certain times to year to excuse themselves by saying its "a high volume time" for processing. I pay these people 80 bucks a month for basic illness coverage and 20 days to get a re-imbursement is complete bullshit. Manulife, which is one of the worst human providers of all time, can have my claim back to me inside of week. These people have no excuse.

No problems

Our puppy came with 6 week trial offer. Two weeks later I had to take puppy to emerg for bacterial infection. Pet secure paid $600 bill, no problems encountered

Monthly Cost

Premiums will vary depending on your plan choice, breed and location.

Coverage

Choose between 4 levels of cover for Accident, Illness and Dental treatment. Secure 1 offers $1,000 per Accident cover, $1,000 Illness cover per condition, per year and $200 Dental cover. Secure 2 offers $2,500 per Accident cover, $2,500 per condition, per year Illness cover and $300 Dental cover. Secure 3 offers $5000 per Accident cover, $5,000 per condition per year cover and $400 Dental cover. Secure 4 offers unlimited cover for Accidents and Illness and $600 per year Dental cover, and Wellness cover. Plans offer 80% coverage (20% co-insurance) after annual deductible satisfied.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $1,000, $2,500, $5000 or unlimited cover depending on your chosen plan. Limit amounts are per accident or per illness/condition per year. Dental coverage amounts depending on plan choice.  

Deductible

Annual- Age Based Deductibles Deductible A $100 – $500 Deductible B $200 – $700 *Secure 4 with Wellness Care Deductible A $250 -$500 Deductible B $300 – $700  

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. No age limit  

Waiting Period

48 hours for accidents 14 days for illness 6 months for dental, cruciate ligament injuries or interverebral disc disease  

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not eligible for coverage.
