Horrible coverage and payment with claims

My Golden (2yr old) has ingesting issues. Loves to explore and will swallow whatever looks fun. I currently have Pets Best insurance and HATE it. When I brought her in to emergency they gave her something to throw it up, no surgery and she was out of there in 15min. Bill was $628. Pets Best sat on my claim for 25 days before denying the claim. Referred me to Section 9-C.14 . Because it had happened twice in the past 18 months they wouldn't cover it. Not surprisingly they waited until my next premium had been paid before they denied it. I'm switching to Pumpkin Pet Insurance. They said they would have covered it and there isn't a limit on occurrences. Other claims I've filed with Pets Best take FOREVER to be paid out.

PetsBest Took Care of Us!!

I feel that PetsBest took their time to review our claim and communicated with us throughout the process. We were extremely pleased with the fair and positive results to cover all the medical expenses minus the grooming (nail trim). We are glad we did our due diligence when choosing our new pet insurance after seeing how this first claim was processed. Thank you

Don't choose Pet's Best

Horrible. They take forever and turn down claims, saying that the can't get records, yet they are able to get records for a cheaper claim. I pay over $100 a month and they keep raising the rate..... BUT HAVE NEVER PAID OUT A PENNY TO ME.

Denial

My claims were both denied. What good is having pet insurance when your claims are denied. I am canceling my policy. It is just a waste of money.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
