Thrilled with Pets Best.

I have been completely thrilled with Pets Best! Each claim I submitted was paid exactly as I expected. This claim was for spaying her, and microchipping. Paid in about 10 days, and got an apology for that delay. (I was happy with the turnaround time, but appreciated the note anyway). I highly recommend your insurance to every pet owner. Well worth the premiums.

Really like the service.

I've used Pets Best for my previous pet who passed away in 2013. When I got my next pet, I immediately signed her up with Pets Best. I really like the service and the ease of accessing my "paid for" benefits. I am disappointed, however, on the rate we pay when pet is quite healthy. Wish rate was dependent on overall cost of claims for any particular pet - based on need.

I am extremely happy.

I am extremely happy with my experience using Pets Best. I've been customer for 5 years and never thought I'd actually have to use it. When my dog broke her leg we were faced with the unexpected cost of emergency surgery. I got the necessary paperwork from our vet and was able to do everything else online. It was so simple! Our claim was reviewed and accepted within a week. I am so impressed with how easy the process was. It definitely took away some of the stress of this accident. Now she is rocking a hot pink cast and on her way to getting better!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
