Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

Just like every insurance company, claims don’t cover items and pay you little to nothing just like Pets Best! Just a waste of money monthly and will never use them again.

"When my < older> kitty started slowing down, I researched pet insurance. Between client feedback & my knowledge of how insurance works, it was an easy choice over the other companies. Getting her set up was so easy, with great customer service when I had questions. She has a medical issue that requires monthly care & I know I can continue to take her to the vet with confidence for reimbursement. I was so thoroughly impressed with this company and even what they offered for well visits, even though my dog wasn't "old" yet, I decided to add him to the policy. When the first incident/injury happened 2 years ago, I filed the claim with zero expectation of how it would work or how it would be handled. This company is TRULY amazing. I feel they honestly care about me & my furbabies. They walked me through filing the claim, even though it really is pretty easy. I was quite impressed with how quickly they processed the claim, how thorough they were to follow through & even more so the reimbursement was better than expected. No hassle was given at all. I've worked with human insurance for over 3 decades, so I was not expecting the ease of the process. This year, he experienced another injury-totally unexpected. I went to the Vet Hospital with full confidence of the coverage and knew that Pet's Best had his back! And as expected, the process was so simple & quick. The process time was again, better than expected, as was the reimbursement. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to know that I don't have to worry about the cost of care in a moment like that and can give all of my attention & energy to my injured furbaby with full confidence. I’m very grateful for the support and service I received from my pet health insurance. They were quick, fair, and efficient with every claim I submitted, and the reimbursement process was always smooth. When my cat became seriously ill, they handled everything with compassion and understanding. They even covered the cost of euthanasia when it became the only humane option. I highly recommend them for their reliability, fairness, and kindness.

Pets Best was the number one pet insurance option I could find when I signed up several years ago with my pack. Recently, their website completely crashed, blaming it on a Microsoft outage. Not only was the outage over in less than 24 hours, but according to "webDetector" NO SITES were being affected after the outage DUE TO THIS. Somehow Pets Best is STILL not completely back up and it's been well over a month. Since Pets Best web site and mobile app have been COMPLETELY down, I've been sending my PDF documents and my policy number and information JUST as I would through the app to the e mail provided to file a claim. Over 3 weeks later, without even receiving confirmation that my claims have been submitted, and now being close to 10k in debt on just ONE pet (I currently have 4 open policies with Pets Best totaling over $500 a month in premiums), and with no reimbursement relief coming in for our pups current medical condition, we were unable to proceed with further treatment options in not knowing where our financial stability lands with such delayed service coming from the recent events happening with Pets Best. I would like to thank Pets Best for their part in THE LOSS OF MY SERVICE DOG, who passed away peacefully in my arms. Had we of been insured our claims were even being PROCESSED, further treatment options would have been available for my beloved dog. Can't even access the in APP veterinary advice service. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR?! Pets best has been at my side, protecting my pets for close to 5 years. I was let down in the WORST way imaginable by a company I trusted. My heart is shattered and my account is still empty. Can't use the App, Can't use the website. NO response to e-mails and on hold for over a hour, just to constantly be disconnected. I don't even have support to help me determine how to proceed now that my dog is DEAD! Do I cancel his policy with so many open claims? Do I wait? My premiums are sure as hell coming out of my account on time though. I don't even know how to process my life at this moment. Pets Best, I used to boast to EVERYONE about the importance of pet insurance and WHY they should choose ONLY YOU. Now, I HOPE EVERYONE STAYS FAR FAR AWAY!
