Easy to submit claim and fast processing

It's very easy to submit a claim, once I have the detailed receipt for the vet visit and Nationwide surprised me with the short turnaround in processing the claim. The only thing I would suggest is to make it easier to enter the clients bank information if they chose direct deposit, through the Nationwide site, instead of a separate text from Citibank.

Thanks!

I appreciate the ease of filing claims, having done it now a few times - its a breeze. Would be nice if the reimbursement was faster, but I got it before the credit card bill was due, so no real issues there.

Good Coverage

The only reason I rated a 9 instead of a 10 is the length of time it takes to get a reimbursement check.

I am VERY PLEASED with Nationwide and very happy I decided to get coverage for Pepper and Habibi. Thank you.

I am so thankful that I decided to get Nationwide Pet insurance for my two young cats. Pepper had a fall and broke his leg and tooth. Nationwide was wonderful in paying all submitted claims in a timely manner. Pepper had to have a root canal on his tooth and was not quite sure if that was covered, but it was. I will not go without pet insurance in the future on my two babies. Thank you Nationwide.

I am glad that I have nationwide insurance

Always have found nationwide to be fair and just and a good asset to my pets’ health. Easy to submit and timely reimbursements. Generally receive email that claim was received after 2-4 days from online submission through VitusVet then another 2-3 weeks to receive the reimbursement (or denial)

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
