Just as you would provide Health insurance for you children, you should provide the same for your pets because they are family too. I purchased Veterinary Pet Insurance and made an investment in my family. Now, I no longer fear the unexpected cost associated with their care. The insurance is well worth the purchase. The company is professional, extremely efficient and understands the cost associated with medical services for your pet. I have nothing but good things to say about VPI. We had a different insurance when we first adopted our dog--a rescue who was 5. I switched to VPI because I had heard good things, and they have been fantastic. Chester had no care the first half of his life, and had a few medical issues when we first brought him home. Now, he is a senior, and with that, came arthritis, thyroid problems, and now heart problems. We have had some really big bills of late, and VPI has been reimbursing in a very timely manner, and covering quite a bit. It has paid for itself and then some. I am so thankful we have the cushion of knowing we have coverage!

Without boring you with the details of our situation, we decided to get pet insurance after spending way too much on our dog's medical needs. Our dog had a surprise diagnosis with a price tag of about $6,000. I did my homework and knew that there was a set amount that VPI would pay for specific diagnoses; my husband did not. I was actually pleasantly surprised about how much we received to cover the costs (just over 50%); my husband was not impressed but that's because he didn't understand how the insurance works. Here's another pleasant surprise: you don't have to submit medical bills and get each bill individually reimbursed. About two weeks after diagnosis we just received the entire benefit from the insurance, even though we experienced the cost of the treatment over 5 months. That helped so much. We are thrilled with this service, even after some misunderstanding on my husband's part.

I have had VPI 5 years now and am always satisfied with the amount of my reimbursement as well as how quickly I am contacted and updated. Great customer service.
