Overall I give Nationwide Pet Insurance 5 Stars!!!
Nationwide Pet Insurance has helped pay for on-going treatment and medication for my 10 year old Nico. He was diagnosed with Valley Fever which there is no cure. Claim filing is very easy and now they have added direct deposit so you can receive your reimbursements quicker. Thank you Nationwide for giving us peace of mind.

Very nice staff and painfully slow in paying our claims
I'm sorry to have to say this, because the customer service staff is all very nice. I've spent many thousands of dollars in medical care for Duke, and have received very little in reimbursement so far. Some claims are taking months, unfortunately. I do wish they would expedite because veterinary bills are so very expensive. Thank you

Current Claim Excellent
I needed to resubmit complete veterinary documentation going back to 2/1/17 for a policy date of 3/1/18 on 4 claims covering 3/2/18, 5/19/18, 5/22/18 and 6/1/18 which was requested by Nationwide on 7/10. I sent the information on 7/22 and am still awaiting a response. My concern is that the on-line account does not reflect the data I submitted and does not have the outstanding items as pending. I was considering adding my 2 older dogs but am holding off until the current issue is resolved. I will say that on the receint claim I submitted (not relying on my veterinarian) I received a swifter response.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
