Satisfied with Nationwide Pet Insurance

I am Satisfied with Nationwide Pet Insurance. My Vet had some concerns about decisions about Pre-existing conditions & his interactions with Nationwide Pet Insurance determining conditions that were not Pre-existing conditions in his medical opinion.

Very thankful for this insurance! They really help to cover the emergency visits as well as routine healthcare for my dog.

A very expensive emergency surgery on our vacation had us up in arms. Knowing that I had Nationwide behind us to assist with the cost was priceless. You really do help when pet owners have to make that quick emergency decision and know the cost will be difficult to handle financially.

No hassle claims

Not only is making a Nationwide claim easy, especially with the VitusVet app, it is no-hassle and worry-free! Our senior kitty was recently diagnosed with a bladderstone and we didn't lose a wink knowing that we could get her treated and Nationwide would take care of us. With a few simple "clicks", the claim is in and I can focus on loving on my kitty. When they're done, it goes directly into our account with another simple click. We have truly enjoyed our Nationwide experience so far.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
