They've gotten better

When I first signed up in 2022, their claims processing was slow and the customer service sucked. Based on the speed at which my last few claims have been processed, I can see they are getting better.

They cant even keep track of their billing, I'd hate to see how they handle claims.

Met Life is the worst

Met Life is the worst! They were a hassle from beginning to end. It was very difficult to set up an online profile and I had to call someone there. My cat started having symptoms and they denied the claim, saying it was a pre-existing condition. I asked how and they said since he had symptoms, that is a pre-existing condition. So clearly they will do anything to not pay. They also took forever to process the claim. Avoid this crap company at all costs.

POOR customer service

My dogs have food allergies. Rather than medicating them, I chose to simply change food to a prescription derm food( which is supposed to be covered). They refuse to reimburse the expense saying it is OTC. It cannot be purchased without a prescription so it is not OTC! Metlife is not what they advertise. They are rude to customers. They refuse to allow speaking directly to a claims agent to understand their decision. It is definitely an insurance game. I cannot even pay for both dogs together- required separate receipts or won’t reimburse the expense- I guess no common sense or calculator to add the two together to get the lump sum. They are not customer or pet oriented. EXTREMELY disappointed in multiple difficulties with this company.

I feel I pretty much gave them Free…

I feel I pretty much gave them Free money to sign up my 3 cats for insurance. I'm out over a $100. I have been lied to several times, I have been told multiple different stories about claims and getting my money back. This company needs to be real with people and tell them what's going on. I'm putting out more money a month. Totaling in a year it's ridiculous I want my money back that I signed up for. And I'm contacting an attorney. On top of that the lies just go on the Insurance policy is through metropolitan general insurance company not MetLife when you read the policy Handbook there's a whole bunch of stuff that's BS
