Quite atisfiewd with Metlife Pet

Have filed several claims with Metlife for substantially more than I have paid in. the paid claims in 2 weeks or less with no fight, disagreement or challenges. It has been well worth what they charge.

My Puppy broke his leg at 6mo and needed surgery, Metlife paid the full amount of coverage with no problem and I received the full amount in less than 10 days after filing the claim. They are always helpful and no long hold times when I call. 100% paid after a $250 deductible is an awesome plan! Thankyou!

Filed claim for preventative treatments…

Filed claim for preventative treatments and an x-ray on pet covered for years but claims seldom submitted. Submitted additional SOAP per MetLife requirement and in the end, my EOB only addressed x-ray but zero compensation. I called twice already and still nothing. I wouldn't recommend MetLife unless you just want to throw away money and deal with a company that doesn't do its job - period.

Great Insurance

I was reluctant to get insurance for my newly adopted furry baby, as I had pet insurance on my previous dog, with another carrier, and they would never reimburse any expenses. A friend told me about MetLife and that she was pleased, so when I adopted my new furry baby, I thought I would give it a shot. I have had an excellent experience with MetLife's coverage so far and would highly recommend them. In fact, I told a good friend about MetLife's pet insurance, and she purchased it as well and is also very pleased. It is good honest coverage. They cover what the plain advertises it will cover, and customer service is friendly and knowledgeable.

0/3 Claims Paid

I have submitted 3 claims in 2 mos- All have had all or some of the invoice denied. I have a wellness plan Claim one: Purchased 12 mos of a preventative medication at a vet visit in Jan (only sold in annual packs). Policy was effective on Feb 1, but rep that sold me the policy said I should still get wellness and they would pro-rate the submission. Upon submission I was told that was poor information and they denied the entire package despite being insured for 11 of the 12 mos of use. Claim two: dog goes in for an ear infection. Claim denied because she had an infection 6 mos prior. They said it was "ongoing treatment" despite the 2nd culture from the initial visit being negative showing the ear had been fully treated. Claim three: Annual visit (I have the wellness plan) They did not pay the entire visit. Stating State required license fee is not covered. It's literally part of the rabies shot. I checked w/ my rescue group and other members who have wellness plan thru other carriers have not been denied for this. 3 visits and still don't even have enough approved items to cover my deductible! Website also says payment to be made w/in 5-10 business days. However; I have had to call on days 11-15 to get an answer on all three claims.
