Very easy and fast response to claims

The process to get insurance and make my first claim was fast and easy. I was reimbursed for the shots my pup got in 5 min. I feel very confident that Trixie will be well protected in the future.

Simple

This policy is easy and less stressful on me financially-claims are paid almost immediately (which I love!) so all I have to concentrate on is loving and giving the best care to my 4 legged child.

Understanding and helpful claim agents

I submitted a claim for my pets vestibular disease over a month after getting it sorted and they had no problem with the claim being delayed. After submitting the claim for the first appointment I was able to submit the next five appointments over email and had they whole claim processed in under a week. The agent I worked with was helpful and caring and made sure that my claim was processed quickly and efficiently.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
