First time holding insurance on any pet

I've never had insurance on any pet before and I've had a lot of pets in my life. I always thought it was for people with lots of money, turned out it's not that expensive and well worth it when the vet visits start up no matter what you gotta go to the vet for regular treatment with every pet. So it pays off. I told everyone who took a sibling to go through the same company as I did.

Quick and easy

I've never had pet insurance before. I was always told they take your money and never cover. So far I'm extremely impressed with Lemonade. Everyone I've dealt with have been great!!

Lemonade is wonderful! The people are so super friendly and helpful and timely and they truly love your pets like you do! The claims are easy to file and they are thorough and efficient. They are fast at helping you and getting your funds back to you! They are awesome!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
