Easy to file claims and great customer service

Our 7 year old dog Bunkie had IVDD, a herniated disk in his spine, and was paralyzed in his back legs. We took him to the animal hospital and he had emergency spinal surgery which was very expensive. After surgery, it was quick and easy to submit a claim using the Lemonade app. The claim was approved and I received payment within a week which covered 80% of the total bill. Follow up appointments and medications were also covered. Overall, I am very happy to have Lemonade insurance for Bunkie.

if you want an easy, fast and fair claim experience, choose lemonade!

i have had to submit several claims on my puppy the first few months we have had him and Lemonade has been amazing. some claims processed in seconds and others in a day or two max. Always a fair, quick and friendly resolution. if you need pet insurance, you should really consider Lemonade!

Using Lemonade is simple and quick and such a relief to have.

My first time filing a claim was for a very sad situation with my pet and Lemonade was simple and quick when it came to reviewing and settling my claim. A great relief to have for making sure you can get the very best treatment for your furever love.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
