Loyalty is gone...

Healthy Paws and us go way back... back to the beginning when our pup was only 3 months old. He's 5 now and we've never once had anything coverable by this insurance, (because they only cover select issues). We have however, had our premiums increase OVER 160%, that's a hike of about $1,200 annually. The only response I received when I questioned the enormous increase was that - "there were many other animals within our state that they needed to cover". They will lure you with a low payment up front and quickly jack your rates up without notice and soon you find yourself spending thousands for nothing. Avoid at all costs.

There is no reason not to buy a policy from Healthy Paws

Absolutely no complaints with healthy paws. Our pooch just had a tumor removed and we only had to pay $180 for the surgery. Her policy is quite clear as to what is covered - we pay for exams and 10% of anything else once the deductible is met. We've never had an issue and get paid within a week of a claim. I just recommended healthpaws to a coworker who had to start a gofundme to pay for her dog's recent surgery. It is nice never to have to worry ourselves.

Best thing I ever did

When I first adopted my six year old Beagle, Abby, I signed up for Healthy Paws Pet insurance. That is one of the best things I ever did! The process for submitting claims is easy, the turnaround time is fast, and the coverage is excellent! In addition to the company's efficiency, they are a compassionate group that answers questions readily and accurately. They also follow up to check on my pet after a major medical situation. I wish that insurance for people was this easy and efficient.

Best thing I ever did!

I signed up with Healthy Paws pet insurance when I adopted my six year old Beagle Abby. I have found the customer service to be outstanding. The claims are VERY easy to file and the level of coverage is exceptional. My little one has some health issues, and knowing that she is covered gives me tremendous peace of mind. Not only does the company process claims quickly and easily, they follow up and check on my pup. An efficient, kind and caring company. I often wish that people's health insurance would be handled so humanely.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
