Healthy paws has supported me and my pup beyond expectations. Claims are processed fast and fair, your refund arrives quickly, and I have never had to dispute anything. When I have had to talk to representatives, I never felt like I was talking to an insurance company that was "out to get me". I have been talking to gracious folks who care more about getting my pup the helps he need more than making sure I'm a net profit. Dealing with Healthy Paws has been nothing but wonderful, and I am thankful to be their customer. I am equally grateful for all their employees that have supported me. I will be a lifelong customer.

They Do It Right

I absolutely love this company. Their benefits are outstanding. They do not play games with claims. I've had every claim I've ever submitted (both small and large) paid exactly as the benefits state, without having to jump through hoops to make it happen. The process is easy and I do it all online. Customer service is excellent on the few times I called with a question. The rates vary by locality, which is the way it should be: adjusted to the cost of care where I live. I've recommended many friends to this company and none are disappointed.

Very good customer service.

We purchased Healthy Paws insurance for our little girl the day we got her. She has had a few issues of which I had no problem getting reimbursed. When she was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes I had no idea if she would be covered for surgery. Thankfully, Healthy Paws sent me a reimbursement very quickly. What a relief to have insurance for something I didn't even know dogs got. I would recommend them to anyone and have many times.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
