Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

They always process my claims within 3-4 days at the very most, sometimes it's the next day. The ease of submitting a claim is outstanding. You don't have to have your veterinarian fill out a claim, you can just have them email you the pet records and upload with an invoice-and that's it! The customer service is outstanding! I've had my Chihuahua insured with Healthy Paws for a few years and in the last two years he developed congestive heart failure and started having seizures. He was very sick recently and was referred to a Neurologist, and Healthy Paws emailed me to ask if he was going to be ok and asked me to follow up with them on his progress, then they paid the claims right away. I really can't say enough good things about this company. I've tried another pet insurance company with another dog I have, just because it was a little bit cheaper per month, and they did mental gymnastics to try and get out of paying for a claim. So I dropped them and signed my other dog up with Healthy Paws, you really do get what you pay for!!! I've NEVER had any issues with claims or payments, and I recommend them to everyone who has a pet they love.

After much research, I selected Healthy Paws pet insurance after rescuing my two puppies. Since they were rescues, I didn’t know what to expect from a medical background. I am so thankful for Healthy Paws services, professionalism and responsiveness. They are very quick to process claims. My one rescue was only 6 months when we learned she was going to need very expensive elbow surgery. Healthy Paws made an impossible decision so much easier. Without them, we would have not been able to afford the surgery. The ongoing prognosis required ongoing medication, all of which has continued to be covered. I fully expected, as with most human insurance companies, things to get denied or pushed back. This never happened as long as it was under the coverage. They don’t cover exams and well pet costs, but that is what you sign up for as a pet parent. You don’t sign up for making heartbreaking decisions between helping your pet when they are in pain or sick and your finances. Most recently, my same dog had a mass removed and they followed up with a personalized email asking how she was doing. This is a company that truly cares about pets, their customers, and making sure the best care is received. I’m so thankful I found them and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Got my pup in March of 2020 and went with Healthy Paws insurance. Absolutely No complaints. EASY to submit a claim, EXTREMELY fast turnaround in payment. The app is super easy to use as well. Im glad I got the insurance because my pup has been having a rough time this year with some stomach issues. I don't know how future years will be but this year having the insurance was well worth it! Hope yo not have to use it year after year but it is good to know its there, you just never no. My monthly payment isn't too bad either. Comes out to about just a couple of cents over a dollar a day! Worth the peace of mind. The costumer service is excellent. In the beginning (being new to pet insurance I had questions) I called and a representative answered my questions patiently. ALSO, I got a random email from Healthy Paws asking how my pup was doing and hoped he felt better. That was a nice surprise. I am completely satisfied with my choice of pet insurance.
