We are really pleased with the coverage, customer service, and pricing of HealthyPaws. I switched to HealthyPaws from another company in late 2020 due to lower premiums. My dog is a medical miracle, NOT in a good way, and we are usually at the vet at least once per month. She had mange, separation anxiety and skin allergies when we adopted her, has had kennel cough multiple times, gotten 2nd degree sunburn, got pink eye, broke three teeth in an accident, and most recently tore her CCL which required surgery. My only complaint is that in the case of her dental extraction and her CCL surgery, the claims process took longer than 10 days and I had to call multiple times to identify the holdup and produce the supporting documents they needed (in my opinion, HealthyPaws should contact ME to let me know that they need those documents to proceed). This is worth it, though, when the claim ends up being covered and when my dog's policy is $30/month cheaper with HealthyPaws than the company we switched from. We will see how rates change as she ages - HealthyPaws maintains the right to increase premiums over time, which other companies do not do.

I pay $85 a month ($200 deductible, 80% coverage) for my 7 year old Yorkie and $60 a month ($200 deductible, 90% coverage) for my 2 year old yorkie. I have had a reason to use my insurance every year I’ve had it and the process to file a claim is incredibly easy and painless. I wish my own health insurance were that easy! And anyone I've ever had to interact with at healthy paws has been very kind and easy to work with. Recently my 7 year old yorkie had 2 night stay at the animal hospital after a nasty stomach issue, and I was completely devastated. But I had peace of mind knowing she was getting the very best care and that her treatment and stay would be covered. I even got a follow up email from healthy paws customer service staff checking in on how she was doing, which was so thoughtful. Highly recommend you get healthy paws insurance as early as possible, you’ll be grateful you have it.

Worth every penny!

Outstanding service and very easy to submit claims. You can chose your deductible and reimbursement rate. Has saved us over $10,000 because of 2 ACL surgery and Also Allergies. Can’t recommend Healthy Paws enough.

Amazing customer service
We are so happy that your Healthy Paws plan could play a part in assuring that our Roo had access to the best available medical care. Claims were processed quickly. Unfortunately, we couldn't save our little Roo after almost 2 months of treatments. I received emails asking how Roo was doing and after she passed the company mailed a sympathy card. Above & beyond. I'm a Healthy Paws customer for life.
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
