Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I have had Healthy Paws Insurance on my sweet service dog since she was placed with me years ago. As she’s aged she has inevitably had more medical issues. Healthy Paws has been excellent every step of the way. Their app is easy to use, their customer service has been great (the one or two times I have had to call them), and they process claims quickly with fast direct deposit into my account. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a pet insurance company. I would not have been able to afford all of the care my sweet girl has needed without them. I’m a customer for life!

Our little schi tzu cocker mix blew her CCL right back leg last year. After speaking to Orthopedic Veterinarian, we chose to have the surgery to alleviate her pain. This was a major surgery which cost almost $5,000, it was such a relief to have pet insurance to pay 80% after the deductable. It was an 8 week recovery with her needing to stay in a kennel which she did not like! You can imagine how we felt when just 13 months later, the exact same thing happened to her left back leg! Healthy Paws reimbursed the covered costs one day after submission of the invoice. No human health insurance is that quick! I researched pet insurances before purchasing quite extensively! I am glad I chose Healthy Paws! I have two small aging dogs and I am confident that I will be able to afford the care that they may need to keep them healthy and happy. Easy, caring and professional are just some of the words I would use to describe Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I adopted a two year old dog last year and my parents recommended getting insurance. I was skeptical, but enrolled anyway. Unfortunately a few months later our new family member has had some issues and Healthy Paws stood by their word and was there for us the entire time. Claims were easy to file online and all paid quickly. Could not recommend more!

I was skeptical of the no cap idea but then realized they mitigate costs with the pre-existing conditions and office visit exclusions. I get it and know that they are trying to make money and provide a much needed service. They succeeded in my case. I got a puppy and so wasn't worried about any pre-existing conditions but she swallowed some plastic at the dog park and needed emergency surgery after a number of costly procedures. The total bill was around 6k and they reimbursed me 4k+. So, no complaints here. The app is very easy and the turn around time is ridiculously fast. They really took the agony out of what was already a VERY difficult time. I recommend them highly and thought everyone was really helpful and empathetic. They even sent an email to see how shes doing. What insurance company does that!!! I say even if you are using them basically as a savings bank for future costs, its really worth it when the chips are down. Thanks Healthy Paws!!!!
