Our pup got his paws on a bouncy ball and suddenly was in urgent need of emergency surgery to remove it. The costs were astronomical to us. My dog, Brad, just recently had to undergo an emergency surgery. It was a very stressful time for him and myself. As we all know, emergency departments for pets can be very expensive. I have had my pets (1 dog & 3 cats) insured with Healthy Paws since 2013, and we have not made any claims. My premium has increased each year, which is to be expected. I work in the insurance industry, so I understand. However, this year my PREMIUM INCREASED 80%. It went from $175 to $316 per month. That's $141 increase! OUTRAGEOUS!! I’m pretty sure this would be illegal for any other type of insurance. So, if you want coverage for your pet even when they're older, LOOK ELSEWHERE...
