Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws insurance is a great company based on my experience. The most impressive part is that they did what they promised: hassle-free reimbursement as long as it is related to pet sickness and injury, and no cap. My dog, Olivia, unfortunately is a pretty naughty girl. We visited the pet ER multiple times: from ingesting foreign objects to falling out of the car. And this year was especially tough for Olivia, she suffered from seizures and had to see vets a lot, including the MRI procedures that costed a few thousand dollars. We feel lucky that we bought the insurance right after she came to our home. Being financially supported by Healthy Paws, we can get her the best care with a peaceful mind. And importantly, we got reimbursed just by uploading the picture of the invoice and doctor's notes. No phone calls, no negotiations, and no worries!

I'm a veterinarian with two dogs that are my whole world. Healthy Paws is the first pet insurance I've had and I couldn't recommend it enough. Submitting claims is easy, their coverage is comprehensive and easy to understand (no catches that I've come across), customer service is always helpful.

I’ve had Healthy Paws for 6 years now, and I will use them for every pet I’m lucky enough to have. When my dog had a sudden injury, they helped me greatly. They were responsive to every question, and claim. Via their app, I was able to submit every claim and get reimbursed via direct deposit. I highly recommend the app, it was so easy and fast! They have an easy to read policy with no surprises. They were quick to get me reimbursement for every claim so I could focus on my pup and his recovery. I have zero regrets and tell every pet owner how amazing they are!

I joined Health Paws in 2017 and have been quite happy with their service. Until now. My 4-year-old Border Collie tore a pad on his paw that required veterinary attention. I submitted the claim only to be told that they were declining to cover the costs as it was a pre-existing condition - a torn paw! Quite ironic given the company name is "Healthy Paws." They told me that it was declined on the basis of an injury he suffered as a puppy in 2017. The 2017 injury wasn't even a torn paw pad. I appealed the decision and they couldn't even be bothered to reply. This is on top of the fact that they keep increasing my premium with no explanation. I canceled my policy and will try my luck with Lemonade.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance provides transparent, fast, and easy service. I have submitted numerous claims for my pet and each one has been processed quickly, sometimes in the same day, and each one has resulted in a reimbursement that does not deviate from my policy. Their premiums are very reasonable and I can't recommend too highly the value of these premiums. Most recently (July 2021), my pet needed to have numerous expensive diagnostic procedures for a complex medical issue. I may not have elected for these procedures without the financial security and peace of mind that Healthy Paws provides.
