Cost doubled in 4 years without ever making a claim.

WE got the policy for our dog when she was about 4 months old and it was about $24/mo. We have never made a claim and the cost has more than doubled to about $54/mo. When contacted about it the company said that vet costs have increased. We thought that by getting it when she was young we were ensuring that we would have the good rate. The company takes the easy money for young dogs and then raises prices for adult dogs to the point that it isn't worth it. It's a terrible way to do business.

Healthy Paws delivers & trully cares…

Healthy Paws delivers & trully cares for your animals. I highly recomend it. Our puppy Pomeranian broke his leg & since he is out first pet I didn't even know you can buy pet insurance so inexpensively. After his 5K surgery & after care I was determine to find quality pet insurance just in case something like that was to happen in the future. Sure enough couple of months later our dog was diagnosed with hereditary hip disease & needed FHO surgery. I was so relieved Healthy Paw took care of almost whole amount after $250 deductible. It was my best decision ever. They even contacted me to find out his progress after surgery. Can't thank them enough💗

Excellent

Healthy Paws have been absolutely incredible! They process claims quickly and thoroughly. It has been worth every penny - especially when our dog needed emergency surgery that would have cost us over $5,000. Our dog has needed two separate surgeries and we have received a personalized email following up on his recovery each time. All representatives have been friendly and extremely helpful.

VERY DISAPPOINTED OVER 30 PERCENT INCREASE

I guess it took a terrible review to get healthy paws to respond. Like I said they don’t care if you cancel. I’ll put my premiums away in case I need them This is a copy of an email I wrote in response to my notice of my policies increasing more than 30 percent which I got no response back . They just don’t care. I insured two akc puppies and instead of waiting for the younger puppy who is 6 months old anniversary date her premium was raised too and they made both dogs anniversary date the same. When speaking to customer service the only suggestion offered was lowering the percentage split so my premium was lower. See below for the rate new rate that was offered for renewal. This is my response: I am very disappointed in the 30 percent plus increase in premium for my puppies who are 6 months and one year old. I followed all the rules, waiting periods etc, everything you require . I don’t know what kind of clients your company is Insuring to charge this much of an increase but it is not fair to parents who have brand new puppies with no health problems and no claims . I feel that I have wasted my money and will be cancelling my account. I expected a rate increase but not over 30 percent, and did not expect it to include a six month old puppy. When I called customer service I was told your company was paying out more than you were getting for premiums. Sounds like your company needs to rethink something. Your going to lose all the revenue from the clients who have no claims for several years because they have young dogs for ones who have a multitude of issues. If this increase continues my premiums could be more than double by the time they are 4 years old. I hope you pass this on to the administration that makes these decisions, because I’m sure I’m not the only one who is going to cancel. I did not make this decision lightly and did my research before doing so. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.....
