We love Healthy Paws!

We've used Healthy Paws for the past two years for our dog, Maple, and we are continuously impressed by their customer service, clarity and transparency, and the speed with which they process claims. Everyone we've interacted with at the company has been honest, thoughtful, helpful and friendly. They have helped us many times and we are so grateful for their support during stressful situations!! Not only are their rates reasonable, but you can tell Healthy Paws really cares about their customers and their pets and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and supportive insurance company!

Disappointed due to 35% rate increase…

Disappointed due to 35% rate increase in first year. Read many other reviews with extremely high rate increases. Would recommend looking elsewhere or saving money monthly for future costs. I am not looking for a canned response letting me know how hard the management team works to keep costs low or that my account cannot be found…just wanted to share others so that they do not make the same mistake that I did of expecting a reasonable premium to remain.

Amazing Company

Healthy Paws has insured my two fur babies for many years. Their service and caring customer service is extraordinary. They are a group of amazingly efficient and extremely caring people! They act more like family then a company. They have emailed me to check to see how my fur babies are after medical procedures or a not so great diagnosis. I highly recommend them if you are looking for insurance for your dog or cat!

Evil Evil company

Evil Evil company. 6 years of making payments and my credit card got suspended because it was stolen. I then was sick and didn't receive any information from them. They canceled after 6 years of making payments and to reinstate they wanted double the money per month and 70 percent reimbursement instead of 90 percent. Do not use them, go to trupanion.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
