Worry free coverage for the unexcepted surprises in a pet owners life.

Pets (dogs & cats) are like children - getting sick unexpectedly or having some kind of accident. This family is very pleased knowing that our pet child will always be able to get quick treating because of our Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. It all started when she was only 10 weeks old. She loved to surprise us by wanting to chew anything she would find in the yard. Her visit emergency was a tiny twig that got stuck at the back of her mouth. No problem - off the the emergency vet - Healthy Paws Pet insurance covered the total experience minus our deductible. Very fast claim processing and reimbursement. We have had some procedures that would of cost us thousands of dollars but all we paid was the deductible. Monthly policy payments are a blessing. Thanks Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for helping us care for our family member - Coco Bella. Marquita Castro

Over 100% Premium Increase... TWICE! Go somewhere else

I've been a loyal customer for 6 years and today I got screwed by Healthy Paws. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this insurance to any dog owner. I have 2 dogs. 6 years ago, I paid $150 for both, over time they kept pushing up my premium to $230 and today I got an email that they will be increasing my premium to $445. When I called, I was told there was nothing they can do and I need to change my deductible and overall plan. Then I was hung up on when I asked for more alternatives. One of my senior dogs had cancer. He's had multiple surgeries and just finished radiation. I cannot simply move to another insurance company now because of all of his pre-existing conditions. I feel that Healthy Paws is taking advantage of this and trapping me by increasing my premium so drastically. I will be moving one of my dogs to another company since he has no pre-existing conditions and I recommend everyone else does the same. It's been a very disappointing experience.

HORRIBLE INSURANCE!!!

6/29 - If you read the Healthy Paws response to my review, you will see that they just proved everything that I said was true. I sent them a complete set of my pet's records at the end of May, yet they are still asking for the records. If they thought that they didn't have a complete set of records, why would they wait an entire MONTH to tell me so? This makes absolutely no sense! I have also called them several times since I filed the claim and each time they only said that the claim was under review and mentioned NOTHING about needing more records. This whole process has been a huge waste of time and money. 6/26 -Don't waste your money! I purchased a plan for my kitten and I had to take her to the vet because she had stopped eating and drinking and had not gone to the litter box for a day and a half. We weren't sure what was wrong with her so we took her to the vet and they performed test and took x-rays to see if she had ingested something that was blocking her. It was determined that she probably had an injury that was causing her pain and that she stopped eating due to that. I submitted the claim 27 days ago and have heard NOTHING from Healthy Paws. I have called several times only to be told that my claim is still being 'processed'. It is a very simple claim so I have no idea why they are delaying for so long. Especially since their Facebook Page is full of people saying their claims were processed in an HOUR! I have a lot of trouble believing that those claims are actually from real people! I've asked them how they got their claims processed so quickly and so far, no response. If they're fake, I wouldn't expect one. Bottom line is you're better off just setting aside the money that you would spend on insurance with Healthy Paws, in a savings account and paying out of pocket for any vet bills. It's what you have to do with Healthy Paws anyway so you'd actually be saving money!
