Healthy Paws: A literal life saver.

The old adage about insurance applies: it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. My girlfriend and I purchased policies for our dogs several years ago, but never really needed to use them. Suddenly, my dog began suffering from a mysterious chronic illness this year. Thanks to a great team of vets, he got a diagnosis and received the treatment he needed. Thanks to Healthy Paws, the testing and treatment didn’t devastate my savings. I couldn’t be happier and fully expect to maintain the policy for the rest of my dog’s life.

Great experience with Healthy Paws

When our dog started vomiting and refusing to eat/drink, we knew we needed to get him to the vet, but of course this all happened on a Sunday when our vet was closed. Having Healthy Paws pet insurance gave us the peace of mind that we could take him to the emergency vet hospital and have them perform all the necessary tests without worrying about the bill. The claims process was so easy and we received the reimbursement within a couple of weeks. I would recommend Healthy Paws to all pet parents!

Calmed by the caring and humbled by the quick settlement of my Bella's Surgery Costs!

As a subscriber to my own (Human) Health Insurance ... In contrast ... I could only hope to experience Bella's quick and efficient turn around time with her evaluation and compensation of financial costs for her surgery and treatment! I highly recommend HealthyPaws! Can't Imagine Life Without Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws has been a shining light for our family during a dark time. Our Husky had surgery this past week, and because of Healthy Paws we were able to afford this unexpected expense. Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
