Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I've been a client of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for 3+ years now, and have always had a great experience with them. Their claim process is super easy to submit on their website, and they have always reimbursed me quickly and without any issues. I see that others have complained about rates going up. Mine has only gone up nominally a couple of months ago and is absolutely expected as the cost of everything is going up these days.

My dog got very sick very suddenly and had to be rushed to the emergency department where he had to undergo a lot of treatment and a 5-day hospitalization. I was terrified I was going to lose him and at the moment had no idea how I was going to pay for this. I submitted the bill to Healthy Paws (as well as follow up visits and specialists that my dog had to see) and the hospital visit claim was processed and deposited into my account within five days (including weekends). Healthy Paws saved Duke and I don’t know what I would have done. The app makes it so easy to use and the turn around is so fast. Thank you so much for helping to save my dog. He is currently recovering but certainly wouldn’t have been able to without healthy paws.

Healthy Paws has been a very reliable company providing pet insurance. We had a very unexpected problem with our dog that ended up requiring neurosurgery. Healthy Paws made it eady to submit claims, processed them quickly and even checked uo on the progress of our dog.

Healthy Paws continually raises their prices. This year, they raised their rates to 45% higher than when I initially signed up. There are much cheaper options for the same coverage. Cancelling with Healthy Paws is a terribly convoluted process. They will only process cancellations via email, but take over a week to respond to your email. Then they email you a link making sure your confirm you want to cancel. No, I emailed to cancel out of pure accident...
