Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My dog, Lucy, wasn't eating or pooping, wasn't herself and we didn't know why. After taking her to the vet, they thought she had something stuck in her intestines and gave us an estimate of $3,000 for surgery to get it out. I assumed she had a tummy ache and didn't believe the vet. The only reason I didn't hesitate to do the surgery was because I knew that Healthy Paws would pay 90%. The vet turned out to be correct, my dog had a walnut stuck in her small intestine that wasn't going to come out by itself. It was so easy to submit the claim, I used the iPhone app to take a picture of the invoice, they sent me email confirmations when they received it and processed it. I got the reimbursement check in the mail within 3-5 days. I was amazed how much better Healthy Paws is compared to VPI (I used VPI in the past and only got 50% of a surgery and it took weeks to get a reimbursement check from them). Healthy Paws is worth it.

I am a first time puppy owner and very recently my puppy was bitten on the face by another dog. His bite was heavily infected and he needed an abscess surgical procedure done as well as a month of antibiotics. I downloaded the Healthy Paws app and it is extremely easy to use to process your claims. All you have to do is snap a photo of you invoice and the claims will get processed in about 1-2 days. For my puppy's surgery, I submitted the invoice on a Thursday, got my claim processed on Friday, and on Monday I received my reimbursement in the mail! Even my co-worker (who has had a dog for 9 years) was blown away by how fast the service was. In addition, Healthy Paws personally reached out to me to check up on Cooper to make sure that he was doing okay. The customer service was one of the best I've ever received for an insurance company.

I received my reimbursement check in the mail within 10 days of filing my claim. They covered everything that my policy said they would. I want to thank and congratulate Healthy Paws on a job well done! I even received a follow-up email to see how my puppy was doing after her surgery. I was preparing myself to have to fight, as I have very little trust in most insurance companies based off of experience and what I have heard from others. However, Healthy Paws has shown that I have made the correct insurance choice for my pets!

I am very satisfied with Healthy Paws. They have always covered my pet as stipulated in the policy. They have never questioned a charge. Recently my pet needed to have an eye removed and they covered everything they were responsible for. The claims were handled quickly and efficiently.
