Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our yellow lab, Fiona, was throwing up, and we were very concerned. We were away on vacation and had to take her to a local animal hospital twice, until the situation was resolved. Once she was healthy again, we submitted both of the vet bills to Healthy Paws. They kept us informed at every step of the claim process, and we received our payment check by the time we got back home. They really are an excellent company, and we would highly recommend them!

My German Shepherd recently had to go to the ER as she was having trouble breathing and swallowing. The vet sent her to a specialist who ultimately recommended surgery to fix any potential tears in her trachea. I submitted the bill the day after surgery expecting all kinds of loopholes and requests for additional information, etc. Instead, to my surprise, the claim was approved in less than 24 hours without any additional requests! And, we even received an e-mail checking on our pup to see how she was doing. Purchasing this insurance was absolutely the right decision. After thorough research on pet insurance for our 8 week old Labrador puppy and Healthy Paws was at the top of the list. My wife was a bit skeptical because the coverage and low monthly premium seemed too good to be true. We went ahead and purchased the pet insurance through Healthy Paws, hoping that we would never have to use it. Everything from communication to their customer service to the reimbursement process was great. They acknowledge and confirm anything we have submitted to them by email. If we have questions, the customer service representatives are knowledgeable and friendly. As soon as our reimbursement request is approved, we receive a check within a week. AND they have sent us a personal note to check in on our puppy, which we appreciated. The past few months have been stressful, but Healthy Paws never added to that stress. Recently my little girl Saedee got bit by a dog at the dog park. She had to have a little surgery and stitches in the emergency room.
