Our vet has a wellness program through another major insurer. They offer a 20% discount on their medical coverage if you have the wellness plan, so yesterday, for the first time in a few years I compared all the major plans and benefits. I was reminded of why I chose Healthy Paws in the first place. They cover so much more (hereditary, congenital, dysplasia etc.) and don't have complicated limits. Healthy Paws has NO LIMITS so if a an expensive illness occurs (cancer, diabetes, whatever), I Even though HP costs a little more total for our 7 cats, I had no choice but to stay with Healthy Paws and signed up our newest kitten withthem. I love knowing that whatever happens, we will be able to afford good care for our cats when they have a problem. They always pay quickly.
Also, my friend told me that the other insurance company (VPI) told her that after 6 months without a UTI her cat would be covered again for UTIs if she sends a letter requesting a re-evaluation of coverage. She did just that and received a response that no, they will not ever cover any UTIs. I also asked this same question when I was comparing, and told the same thing. The guy made it sound like no big deal, they do it all the time. BS. Now she is switching to Healthy Paws, too. Based on 3 years of experience with them, I know that what Healthy Paws tells me, will be what they actually do. Thanks Healthy Paws!

Excellent Service
My recently adopted 3-year-old male tabby had excessive licking and hair loss and after one trip to the vet's and several dietary changes, we decided to have him tested for allergies. The test was very thorough but also quite expensive and, as promised, Healthy Paws covered 90% of the cost of the test and prescription medicines.
We are very happy we signed up for pet insurance with Healthy Paws. Very satisfied clients.

Awesome service
We have owned Healthy Paws on our 2 1/2 yr old golden doodle for a year and a half. We have made 2 c laims in that time perios and have been very pleased with their service, easy claims process and quick payments. Recently, our dog had a growth removed from her nose. I uploaded my receipts late one evening, and the claim was paid the next day. (Thankfully, her growth was benign). We have had two follow up messages from HP asking about Keely's progress. Such warm and caring people!
I highly recommend this pet insurance to anyone considering purchasing insurance for their pet. We are considering gifting this insurance to our granddaughter, who just got out of college and would not be able to afford expensive surgery or emergencies for her Aussie.

They are there when you need them
About 1 year ago we purchased a chocolate Lab puppy we named Kady. About 4 months after bringing her home we found that she was limping...limping was more pronounced after exercise. After reviewing the X rays the vet believed that the limping was the result of normal growing pains that would pass in time.
Well time passed but the limping didn't. We eventually saw a veternairy orthopedist who took additional X-rays and diagnosed Kady as having Elbow dyslpasia in both of her front elbows and severe arthritis.
Between the X rays and surgery (completed 2 weeks ago) Kady's bills were over $5000.
I have become a bit of a cynic over the last number of years especially of the insurance industry.... so I was anticipating difficulties with coverage, limits, condition etc.....to my surprise Healthy Paws promptly issued checks for the amount we were entitiled to according to her policy. They have also been kind enough to check in with us regarding her condition.
I am amazed and impressed by the way they do business and their concern for our pets. I cannot say enough good things about them and how they treated us and Kady. We have hope that Kady will finally get to be the puppy and adult dog she could not be previously due to her condition.
Thank You Healty Paws!
