Healthy Paws is easy to use

Healthy Paws is easy to use. I have recommended this insurance to other pet parents. Once my dog is seen and treated all I have to do is photograph the paid reciept and upload it into the app. Within a few days I have a refund sent to my account. The explanation of what is and is not covered it also sent to my email.

Helpful and Easy!

I've had Healthy Paws pet insurance since my dogs were puppies, and it has been so helpful knowing that if anything unexpected happens to my pets that I don't have to stress out over the budget as much. Each time I've put in a claim its been processed quickly and without hassle.

Healthy Paws covered most of my recent…

Healthy Paws covered most of my recent emergency vet visit for my Dalmatian Charlie who had bladder stones blocking him from peeing over 24 hrs. I’m very glad they covered most of that bill, since it allowed me to approve the best care option for Charlie without worrying about taking out a loan.

Trash Insurance

I’ve been with Healthy Paws since my dog was under a year old—he’s now five. In that entire time, I’ve only submitted one claim, and it was processed without any issues. Despite being a low‑risk customer with almost no claims history, my monthly premium has increased repeatedly, climbing from $34.08 to $73.52. That’s more than double the original cost. The constant price hikes are completely unjustified, especially when you’re barely using the coverage. I recommend avoiding this company and looking for a better provider.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
